Greetings
Gold Wins Wars is still fine and dandy, I'm currently working with the next chapter and some other projects related to it. I think it is finally time to explain the city names, because actually, they aren't so obvious.
Names of course are horse puns of really-existing Horse... pardon, Hanseatic League cities. Titles/Common Names obviously are not the same for equilevents in our reality. Flags are mostly the same, but I made several small changes. So, let's start the the list of Horseatic cities from :
Name : Lubuck
Titles/Common Names : Crown of Trave, Capital of Trade
Flag : White and Red
Reference to : Lubeck (Germany)
Description :
Capital of Horseatic League, the place where Hanstag’s are hold. It is also the place, where the oldest bank in the entire Equestria is located, famous Hansa Bank. Lubuck’s port is also capable of creating the biggest navy vessels and military frigates and galleys. Because it’s located just near the end of Trave river, there are a lot of merchants going through the city.
Name : Hayburg
Titles/Common Names : Granary of Equestria
Flag : Completely Red
Reference to : Hamburg (Germany)
Description :
Hayburg is the close ally of Lubeck, this two cities are really close to each other. Hayburg is mostly famous as the grain exporter.
Name : Mareggen
Titles/Common Names : The Town of Ice, Gem of Northern Reaches
Flag : Red-White-Red
Reference to : Bergen (Norway)
Description :
Mareggen is the city located far on Equestria’s North, it’s the main center of trade and communication between Equestria (Mareggen) and Compact Lands (Novigrad).
Name : Ridge
Titles/Common Names : City of Mines
Flag : Red and Two Golden Keys
Reference to : Riga (Latvia)
Description :
Ridge is one of the oldest and definetely, the richest cities of Equestria. Ridge produces more gems, than all the cities combined and two add more, the town is also the big exporter of wool.
Name : Novigrad
Titles/Common Names : The Bastion, The Mountain Fortress
Flag : White and Blue
Reference to : Novgorod (Russia)
Description :
Novigrad is one of two cities located in Compact land that are members of Horseatic League. Novigrad is located in the mountains of North, but it’s connected with other cities by sea trade routes. It’s almost impossible to get to the city without using navy, the local roads are impassible. Novigrad is mostly famous as fish and meat exporter. It’s also the most militarist city of all.
Name : Coltland
Titles/Common Names : The Lone Island
Flag : Goat on Blue Background
Reference to : Gotland (Sweden)
Description :
Coltland is the island located just between the new land of Equestria and Compact lands. There are no big cities located on Coltland, the biggest village is called “Visby”. Unfortunately, ships from Coltland are often victims of Victual Brother’s raids.
Name : Danzig
Titles/Common Names : City of the Outcast
Flag : Red with two Golden Crosses and Golden Crown
Reference to : Danzig or Gdańsk (Poland)
Description :
Danzig has a really bad reputation. The problem with this city, was that it was settled illegally. It’s located on the island far away from Equestria, and colonizators didn’t ask the Parliament for permission. For several years Equestria goverment didn’t even know that Danzig existed, and when they realised it, they noted that Danzig wasn’t paying taxes for several years. There is a bad blood between Danzig and the goverment. The ponies from Danzig tends to speak in different languages and they have far different culture than other ponies from Equestria.
In terms of the next chapter. I can't guarantee I will write it fast, but there is a huge chance that I will write a new one-shot that will tell the story of what is left from Horseatic League and Equestran Navy in the modern days of ponykind.

Oh yeah! I'm excited alright, can't wait for new chapters. I even reread some of them over and over...cuz I'm bored. But love the way you incorporated the references into horse puns, strangely seems so perfectly in place.
