Those of you who have kept track of my often-irregular updates about my father know that had things have happened. Of course, this isn't anywhere near a large nuber of you, so let me tell you the story of why I have been fairly inactive in the past few months.
As of the current moment, my father has been diagnosed with: Irregular Heartbeat, Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (a genetic condition that required him to get a full liver transplant, as well as destroying much of his lung capacity), a severe bout of Pneumonia six months ago, and, more recently, a non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer. Oh, and he is seventy-three, so that does not help.
I just had to take him up to the hospital for severe breathing problems, and I must warn you all that updates will be infrequent as this plays out...
Shit, let's not sugarcoat it. Things are happening at a rapid pace, and none of us knows if my father will live for a few weeks or a few years. I have no fucking idea, either. Things are so far beyond my understanding and control at this point that I have simply given up trying to understand much of them.
In addition to that, we have a major fire in our area that has annihilates much of a town, and is threatening quite a few others. Our town is the evacuation center for all of this.
Fuck.
Seems like it's the end of the world over there with all that stuff that's happening.Hope that your dad makes it!
I am not the best with words but be strong for your dad for your family and for yourself
the world may not make sense now but all storms and nightmares are bound to end
I hope for the best for you and your father
