The origin of the phrase is a bit different in Equestria, but the meaning is essentially the same.
Thanks again, everyone, for the well wishes. The fiancee is recovering quickly from surgery, the in-laws (to be, technically, but they're already textbook in-laws) are gone, and the creative spark is returning. That means I'm finally ready to get back on track! Expect the next chapter of Twolight's adventures this weekend. And for those I'm proofreading for, I'm working through the queue again.
It was pointed out to me when I used this phrase in Eternal
that if you think about it a moment it refers to a sexual practice in Equestria
Such vulgar phrases are not to be mentioned in polite company.
Good thing the internet is anything but polite.

I was thinking of the context of getting dressed up in preparation for an event. But okay, I'll take getting "dressed up" in preparation for an "event" too.
: Twilight Sparkle! I never thought I'd catch you dressing so...wantonly!
: Er--
: No, you misunderstand. I was somewhat disappointed by the thought...
Glad to hear everything is back on track. Can't wait to read some more Twi X Twi action
Well I never!
Bring on the Twolight!
Definitely looking forward to more Twolight!
Glad to see things are falling back into place.

I snickered a little after giving your title some thought.
What's that? I called it? I foresaw the events to be...?
Wizard~!
It feels so good on my tummy?
Woohoo!

Did I say that weekend? Oops. I totally meant this weekend. Yep.
