    Who To Get Art Of

This actually isn't about what artist to do since my normal cover artist can't work due to the virus, but what of my characters to do art of. As for who the artist is, a reminder is that they are Lugaroo on Deviant Art, and no I can't link them, and they've done covers for me in the past like

    I Have Moved!

I'm back in Colorado! Everyone around me kind of realized that I really needed a change of scenery. I hadn't had my own private space for three years at this point and that's not exactly a good thing for a writer with mental issues. Now that I'm on disability, that's actually something that can possibly change. Needed to go somewhere quieter, smaller, cheaper for that though. So a change in

Jumbled Thoughts: Proprietary Software and "X thing has this, why not others?" with Steam

So, something I hear a lot when people talk about different digital store fronts is that they're confused why they don't all have everything that Steam does. Shouldn't we all have learned lessons from Steam? Well... this is where it being Proprietary software comes into play.

My thoughts on Twilicorn · 6:22pm Jul 17th, 2014

I think I'll probably try to make more of these opinion blogs because I really do like the thoughts I have and don't really have an outlet for them, so without any further ado, let us talk about Twilicorn!

Okay, so first, Do I think Hasbro jumped the shark with her? No, not at all in fact. I never got this feeling like this was too big or grand, I thought it was a rather fitting end to Twilight's arc. And that is where my problem with Princess Twilight Sparkle is that she needed to leave the show. Her arc was done, and a couple episodes addressing the change in dynamic would have been nice, but I honestly thought we were doing to get a new main character, or get rid of her almost completely. Continueing from there, there is also how I felt about her throughout the season.

The first three episodes.
This is of Season 4 of course, and I LOVED Twilicorn. Why? It was a grown up and more experienced Twilight while still having our good ol' adorkable girl. From her freakouts to her calm in the face of the unknown and scary, it felt very well done and like the Twilight we had earned to see at this point doing what Twilight does.

The rest of the Season.
*Sigh* And this is where Twilicorn breaks for me. Is it because her being a princess is never brought up again? No, I could care less about that problem and never found it even crossed my mind except maybe as kind of funny. However, it is this impossible calm and complacency she gains. Even when she has blunders or has situations that would get a normal person, let alone Twilight, freakout, she barely bats an eye or starts lecturing. We lose her fun side and only get the leader. Even in the finale, when all of the princesses giving her their power, she never freaks out about having just watched Celestia become powerless, she just says, "It is my duty, I got this." Even against Tirek, she loses her anger so quickly and masters this magic in moments.

Final Thoughts

So, I don't hate Twilicorn, I just will not write her as the show has. She is too serious, too plain, and too overpowered. Do I think she is a Mary Sue? Even by normal people's definition, no. By mine, nowhere close. Do I think she should be in the next season? No. I thought she should be gone for this season, and for the most part wasn't necessary. Her roles could have been filled by a lot of other ponies for most episodes and that depresses me. If Hasbro wants Twilight to stay, good for them. If they ever want Twilight to best pony again, they need to return to her love of knowledge, have her be at least a little socially awkward at times instead of omnipotent in most situations or possibly being deux ex Twichina. Her arc ended in my opinion, and I believe some fresh air with the cast would be good for them, especially after this dreadful season.

Have a nice day everyone, and feel free to disagree and let me know why I'm wrong.

It's all the same to me really... so I don't really get peoples dislike. Nothing killed or made it live for me because it was always live. That simple.

2294679 And I never said this killed the show. I just no longer am interested at all in Twilight because she has become so flat and calm. Her story arch is done, get some one else. That is the basics of my argument.

Ah, ya... I feel her story is done and now she is just the glue to carry on other stories.

2294711 To be honest, something I forgot to put was my true reaction when I saw it, and that this was the end if MLP. Not because it jumped the shark, but because it felt like it was tying together for an ending. Later I decided to change that opinion just to ending Twilight, but MMC was actually very hard for me to think about after it came out just because I thought I lost this great show all of a sudden.

2294721
I'm personally open minded of anything they do... but I'm the type of person that looks for any type of art...

Having no expectations really has an advantage.

2294766 I trust them to do it right, and luckily Twilight got sidelined for the most part and played her part well. But she definitely wasn't the same mare we knew and loved.

2294775
No, she has changed, as expected. But I personally feel that a greater change is in the horizon. Just don't ask me what it is because I really don't know.

2294784 I won't guess what greater change is coming, but what i really meant I suppose was that she started a big theme for my greatest problem with season 4 as a whole(though that is for another blog) and that is though this is character growth, its so drastic and almost comes out of left field at times, that it doesn't feel deserved. Her freaking out less, sure. But the first episode had her freakout over something fairly trivial and you get my point. I don't know if she deserves the whole persona change we ended up getting, for she no longer has any side if that student but is only the teacher or leader now which makes her really hard to identify with in my point of view because she is what we see our teachers as, nit who they actually are.

2294800
That actually went over my head at the moment. I'll have to read it later when my mind is more able to translate.
