One Neat Thing That I Did Get to Do Last Summer

During August of 2016, my friends and I visited South Korea. When I went there, there were three things in particular that I wanted to do: I wanted to get some good hiking in, I wanted to see some live Starcraft games, and I wanted to do some karaoke. It turns out I got to do all those things and more. If you want to see that Starcraft bit,

    I'm Back, After an Age

    Hey folks,

It sure has been quite a while since I was last on here. I just want to say that I am back to jump back into A Heart of Change and to bring it to its conclusion, and that's the gist of what this blog is about. If you want to hear a rambling story explaining my absence, by all means keep reading.

I Happened to Stumble Upon a Beautiful Treasure

So I just happened to click on the stats button for AHoC because I hadn't done that in quite a while, and suddenly I noticed that I had gotten a few hits from EqD since I had last looked, which I thought was quite strange. So I clicked on the link and ended up on this page which showed the results of an event that

Chapter 24 is Done and Going Through the Final Stages of Editing.

And I aim to publish it sometime tomorrow. Thank you for your considerable patience and continued readership. I'll definitely get the next chapter out in a more timely fashion. I am tentatively aiming to wrap this story up by sometime around August or so.

Now I'm going to go straight into planning and writing the next chapter.

    Cheers,

When Inspiration Strikes · 9:58am Jul 17th, 2014

It has been a while since this happened. You know that moment when you're aiming to go to sleep, but then an idea is playing around in your head and it seems like something you just want to write? Well, that happened to me just before 2:00 AM, and I couldn't shake the feeling after about an hour or so. Giving in to the feeling, I figured I'd grab my laptop and get the small idea out of my head. Now, I'm not saying that my work is all that great, but rather that I was inspired by a couple other great works, and that culminated in this sleep-deprived writing of mine. It's a very short, kind of sad, Scootaloo one-shot. Give it a read if it sounds interesting to you, otherwise, have a great day, and I think I'll take a small nap now.

Thanks for reading,

Hmm.... can predict the ending... doesn't seem happy :ajsleepy:

Edit: Ordinarily I wouldn't mind, but Scootaloo is my favorite pony character on the show, and I wanna see her happy.

2294023 Fair enough. It's sad, but not the tear-jerking sad. It's more of the bitter despair sort, which some might argue is worse.

2295780 I'd argue it's much worse and near equivalent of an ending that didn't resolve anything, which would drive me nuts :pinkiecrazy:

2295782 It's just meant as a small character piece. While left unresolved, I'd like to think that most people could imagine that she'd find a way to soldier through it and become all the stronger for it. I wanted to see if I could pull off a powerful piece in around 1000 words and it turned out better than I had any reason to expect :scootangel:

Before I keep writing, I am not saying your writing in this piece is bad at all. It's probably great (you a great writer :rainbowkiss:). The whole "I'd like to think people can imagine how the story truly ends and everything turns out okay" doesn't sit well with me. I know it kind of borders on obsessing too much, heck it's kind of like the people who freak out over canon from the show and these stories and stuff like that. But if I didn't care a little then these stories wouldn't be as fun for me. I think if something is going to be written it should be resolved in some manner and if it's not then something else should later on. :rainbowdetermined2:
