To publish or not to publish, THAT is the question.

I want to be serious for a moment here. No MUSIC!, no BADASS!, no AWESOME! or EPIC! In fact, to show how serious I want to be I'm gonna write the four of them without capitals, grammar errors nor exclamations; music, bad-ass, awesome and epic. There, now lets get serious.

For those who know me more than others it should be obvious I have a problem. TVtropes calls it ADCD or Attention Deficit Creator Disorder, here an explanation:

Sometimes a creator becomes extremely popular, and thus extremely in demand. Or perhaps he becomes so enamored of his own abilities that he believes everyone wants to see the results of every idea he has. Or maybe it's just his natural state, who knows?
But in any event, the creator winds up turning their attention to more than one project at a time, sometimes many more. These projects may have staying power, or they may fall by the wayside fairly quickly. It may result in one of their projects lying dormant for days, months, even years, and then suddenly seeing a burst of new activity as the creator's other projects lay gathering dust for a while.

Lets give a look to my works list:

The Doom Patrol - Incomplete, mostly planned, previously in development hell.
Mare-Do-Well Strikes! - Incomplete, mostly planed.
Lightspeed Rescue - Incomplete, stuck on introductions arc.
The Conversion Bureau: Judgement Day - Incomplete, completely planed, previously in development hell.
The Princess and the soldier - One-Shot, complete (worst fan reception yet).
Stay - One-shot, complete with a sequel on the works (development hell).
Ponies and Robots Wars - One-shot, complete.

Now you see my point?

To be fairly honest, those works are progressing in a fair phase so there's no real worries about them. The problem is that apparently I can't keep myself focused on a finite number of projects. This came to my mind when after publishing 'Ponies and Robots Wars' (admittedly not my best idea for a tittle) I immediately started to write a prologue for a long term fic.

My point here is that, should I really ad another project?
Id: Do it! You know you want to.
Super Ego: but think about your other fics.
Ego: ???

So I'm gonna ask my readers, that's you guys, to see if this is really worthy of being done.

But because I need to do a fic that isn't well thought or carefully written in days but instead it's made out of hot-blood and awesome action.

so may be try to make a real chapter to see if readers like it and continue this project later , or may be when you're bored but keep the other projects as "primary projects" on your list

what i want to say is try to make one real chapter for Ponies and robots wars , for example remember the comment when i talked about Twilight getting her Robot and trying to pilot it during the fight and how awesome of a chapter it would be ?
well start from the beginning with the first idea and make a first chapter.
but write a Chapter for "Ponies and Robot wars" only when you're bored

I kind of know how you feel. I really want to start my Warehouse stuff now...but should not (heck I've got writers block on RD and the red ring right now). I'd say do not push to make more...just keep making creative notes for now and when something gets finished, then add in.

I really appreciate your advise, but out of reflex I already wrote a prologue. I'll publish it but I'm gonna put my head on my priority list first, so my other projects don't suffer for this.
