Well story one was...educational. · 5:44pm Jul 8th, 2014
I recently posted my first story. It was my first serious attempt and putting my thoughts out there. It was met with...mixed results... I discovered that while my idea was solid and I liked some of the scenes, my characters were massively underdeveloped. They were just names that things happened to, as opposed to personalities and a collection of learned experiences. With some great tips from Bobdat I'm going to give the story a whole new beginning from the ground up.
In addition to the characters needing a major overhaul I also think i rushed into the clop. I think the reader needs to be invested in the character and their emotions before I have the characters get too intimate with anyone. The old story will stay up until i'm happy with my rewrite, but please don't judge it too harshly as I recognize I've made some mistakes and I'm currently in the process of fixing them.
Chapter two and three will receive less major rewrites but will definitely be pushed back for later in the story. If you have any feedback with this in mind, I would love to hear it.
Thank you
Well, for clop, I didn't really mind if it was fast, as for the character's developpment, for a first fic, I don't think it was bad, nothing cold prevent you to develop it later in the story.
But I just have a question, will it be futa all along ?
The futa thing is only until Derek starts to become noticeably pony, It was just a vehicle for him to start the process. I honestly don't know if that part will even make it through the rewrite.
Edit: I'm thinking i like that aspect of the story. I'm probably going to keep it, definitely in the beginning and we'll see where it goes.
