Ahem, Still alive. · 9:04pm Jun 19th, 2014
Just got off work, wohoo, and I am currently writing chapter 7. I had to remake the chapter but as far as it is going, I have about 3k in words and hopefully it will be worth the wait.
The Celestial sisters sat in their respective chairs staring at the wall.
"You felt it did you not sister? That human, Evan, there is something off about his presence. Even more so than we thought." Luna's voice was quiet and wary.
"Quite. I felt it the moment I met him, that is why I have had Audible Range guarding him every day, that way she can report anything strange to me-" Celestia was interrupted as the door opened quietly and the youngest alicorn walked in. "Ah, Cadence, I was wondering when you would show...Are you all right?" Celestia stood in alarm as she saw the full extent of her nieces face and body. Her normally bright pink fur was a darker unhappier color, like thinly veiled storm clouds on a sunset. Her normally expressive eyes were gone, replaced by large vacant pools of confusion that had tears flowing from it, not unlike a broken faucet.
"......" Her mouth opened, and her lips moved, but no sound came out. Celestia rushed to her side, enveloping her within a colossal wing hug and gently guiding her into a sitting position, which she then emulated.
"It's okay sweetie, whats wrong?" Celestias voice was quiet and probing.
"I-i's Evan.... I met him earlier today and...." Cadences voice was shaky and cracking, speaking more than she ever could.
"And?" Celestia gently nudged her niece with her muzzle.
"Broken....."
Celestia recoiled slightly at the word, her face becoming impassive. "Broken? Cadie, what's broken?"
"H-he is." Celestia opened her mouth to ask but Cadence cut her off. "I shook his hand, and the moment we touched I felt it all.... His despair, his anger- no his rage....all of it. But that wasn't the worst part. His æther was completely destroyed. There was no happiness, no longing, nothing that would make him alive. It was just a mashup of...of madness."
