The June update / help with Ruin part three and spoilers . · 10:24am Jun 19th, 2014
Yeah the lack of updates I can explain that.
The only time I'll post updates is if there hasn't being any chapter posts within that month or if I'm stuck on something.
At the moment I doubt that the next part of Ruin will be out by the end of the month since I'm stuck on what to do in part three. Now don't get mad at me, I got the this part planned out along with the next few chapters, it just trying to put it all together so it sounds like a good story that's the main problem.
So, I'm going to throw some of my ideas that i have out to you guys for your opinion. Again Spoilers beyond this point.
If you read the end of part two, yes those three girls are the CMC and yes it will be explain why they are out in the Everfree Forest in the fort at that time of night.
Anyway here is what basically happens:
-The CMC did something they shouldn't of while in the fort before Vincent showed up and now *spoilers* start coming after them.
-Vincent [After a moral debate with himself] tries to get them out of the fort and out of the forest, however while hiding from *spoilers* in one the rooms in the fort, one of them pulls Vincent through the wooden door and starts choking him. Vincent manages to kill it barely with ice magic but there are more coming after them.
Now here is the problem. Should I:
A] Have the CMC help Vincent out in someway in either killing one or distracting them [Example: AppleBloom picks up a large stone brick or something large and throws it at *spoilers* or SweetieBelle use whatever of her weak magic to push *spoilers* away from either her/ CMC or Vincent or even if Scootaloo performs sometype of high jump kick to one of them]
Or
B] Vincent basically fights them on his own while trying to protect the CMC through pushing, tackling, tripping and using uncontrollable magic against *spoilers*. While this happens the CMC are either running away or being chase by *spoilers*.
But basically in the end Vincent basically get the shit beaten out of him by *spoilers*.
In the end, I'm kind of lost on what to do here.
Also as mention in Ruin part one, no Co-author or Editor at the moment if anyone wants to help if would be great, since I want to try and finish this by the end of the year at least.
Hmm... I'm personally all for the CMC to help him out. He's in a new world with new abilities that he barely know's how to use. The CMC take note of his (incompetence? helplessness?) and realize that he's trying to fix their mistake(?), so they try to help him. Just my thoughts on that.
I am leaning towards him trying to protect the girls seeing as how they are just children and cannot really do all that much. Besides, they are still young so they would most likely be afraid and not really capable of killing anything. Vincent has the powers, so he might as well try to use them for something good.

If I were to say that these *spoilers* are not alive in the general sense, would that change things?
2221153 The girls are still just kids so they would be afraid regardless of what the *spoilers* are. If anything, they would probably be even more afraid. Realistically, there is not much that they could really do in that kind of situation other then run.
I agree with Laughing Jack.
Have Vincent attempt to save the CMC, however as he is not yet competent with his abilities *spoliers* ends up gaining the upper hand. The CMC see that despite being afraid he's willing to stand up for those he doesn't know and he's trying to help them so they decide to help him.
This way Vincent can have someone to vouch for him that he is not (evil/destructive/a threat), should you go down that road. As I'm sure Celestia and Luna will have something to say about a new major power at the table.
Another idea could be that the CMC go to get help and some of the Mane 6 help him out.
Yes, I know they sound cliche as heck, but there is a reason a cliche is a cliche...it works.
Just a personal note, it would be nice to not 'kill' *spoilers* even if it is already dead. I would suggest imprisoning it or incapacitation. If it does need to die, let Vincent kill it and then he can deal with the moral implications (if any).
