Well, my first story is out, done, and awaiting judgment in a contest. That leaves me with the question: where to go from here?
The answer is simple. Keep writing. Try new things. Expand.
Check, check, and check.
Let’s change some things around, get a new perspective. Let’s get ambitious. More characters, arcs that span multiple stories, backstory, world-building, trying different points of view — let’s do all of that.
If things go well, what you’ve read is just the beginning of something new.
