I didn't even ever comment on any of his stories, and if I did it was probably positive. i'm just assuming that was the case because he's saying he gets SO MUCH hate-mail. I think he's full of shit personally, it's more likely that he just views any kind of criticism (constructive or not) as hate because it offends his bloated ego.
