A republic is not a monarchy.
The United States of America is a Republic.
Canada is a Republic.
Portugal is a republic.
Any country that has a election to choose its leader is a republic, not a monarchy.
The Lunar Republic is not a republic because it is a monarchy.
A republic does not mean a resistance, a republic is a form of government that chooses its leader through either a council or a election by its citizens.
A monarch also wears a crown and tries to prove their royalty by their blood line and rule until death or resignition.
Whoever decided: "Oh! lets call it the Lunar Republic just like they did in starwars or wherever the hell we got the idea is genius!" is a fucking moron and a fucking gobshite.
Does Luna hold elections? Does her people elect her every 4-8 years? No.
She is a fucking monarch, not a president.

You know what is even sillier than their group using "Republic" in the name? The bronies that get all dressed up in military fatigues with the NLR logo all over it, armed with fake guns and stuff, running around the various conventions in formation (if one could call it that).
