    Addressing Updating My Fics

I feel like it's time I addressed this.

In the months since I've stopped updating my fics, I've had more than a few comments and PM's asking me when I would update and finish my works, when I was coming back... And for the most part, I've pretended to ignore them out of embarrassment and nervousness.

And as we ring in the new year...

Well, as we enter 2015, I just wanted to take a moment to reflect and talk about the last year for me on this site. (Yes, that's it. If you don't care, move along.)

If you enjoyed Eternal, you might like this...

Well, I'd like to announce I'm officially starting work on one of my long-planned, much awaited (psssh... yeah, right) stories. Now, I originally mentioned this story in a blog post much earlier in the year. At the time, the story was under the hesitant title Making a Princess... Saving A Kingdom. Terrible, I

    The Pastel Pony: Quarantined

So, for the last week or so, I've had a pretty awful cough, and my sister, with the same problem, came back from the doctor's this morning with an official diagnosis of whooping cough. Since I have the exact symptoms she does, I've also been put on meds and informed I can't be around other people for at least five days.

Updating Current Stories: Why I've Been Dormant for the Last Couple Months

So, I'm sure more then a few people are wondering about when I'm going to update my current stories, especially To Be A Parent.

The answer? Soon... Hopefully at least one new chapter for To Be A Parent and Great and Powerful this weekend.

But first, I feel I owe my readers an explanation for why I've been, for lack of a better word, lazy about updating my stories.

Why the overused cover art for Blue? I have seen it a million times in every fan-fiction including Scootalo :scootangel: and Rainbow Dash :rainbowlaugh: and it makes the story look a bit like you everyday Rainbow Adopts Scootalo.

Honestly, I had no idea that it was such a popular cover-art pic. I was just looking around for the right image, stumbled across this one, and thought it was perfect for the mood of the story. I wasn't until a week or so later that I properly realized I'd used the most common Scoots & Dash coverart. I've considered changing it, but, well... I've grown fond of it. :twilightblush:

I know you posted up a blog that shows a tentative schedule of your writing, but is the sequel to your awesome story Numbers coming out soon?

(by stitchfan93)
As soon as possible. Between school and life in general, I haven't had much time, but when I can, I've been working my flank off! I fully intend to have the double release of the prologue/first chapter out by Sunday at the latest, since I've got a long weekend to pull things together.

I have been waiting for the Numbers sequel forever. Starting to go a bit crazy.. :pinkiecrazy: I mean, don't publish it if you don't think it's ready. But we won't mine looking around a few spelling errors.

Fixing my spelling mistakes now means I won't have to later, as well as higher quality reading for you. :raritywink: As I said above, I plan on having the story up by Sunday. If not, feel free to tell me what a horrible, lying, selfish person I am. :rainbowlaugh:

I want to know, what spurred your idea for Numbers? Definately my favorite of all of your stories.

I guess I got the initial idea when re-watching Family Appreciation Day. I always felt like Filthy Rich didn't get enough screentime, and I disliked his constant negative portrayal in most stories. I started considering writing something to show him in a more positive (if ignorant) light, as well as explore the relationship between him and his daughter. I sat down to write on day... and it just happened. I certainly never expected it to be half as popular as it turned out to be.

What made you decide to portray Mr. Filthy *Cough Cough* Ahem Mr. Rich, the way you did? Most stories make him out to be almost as bad as his daughter. If not, worse.

(by voilerwolf)
I just... I felt like he got too much of a bad reputation in the fandom because of his daughter. I've seen more than a few decent parents who have brats as kids and just are too blind to see it. What I saw in Family Appreciation Day gave me the opinion Filthy was more like that then an actual bad pony himself. I wanted Numbers to express that.

That's it! Thanks for the few, but great, questions I got!

All right then, sorry if I sounded like I was rushing you, I wasn't of course, since you have your own life to deal with, school and all. Once again, can't wait to read the sequel to Numbers! :pinkiehappy:
