Last night, I had the biggest adrenaline rush since the last time I went wake boarding. The final baseball game of the season, and we're up in the final inning (the seventh) by one run. Being the away team, we take field in the bottom of the innings, and during one play, we get the final out at the same time as the other team makes the run to tie the game. For six straight innings, we struggled to pull ahead while holding the other team down. One of the players on the other team got hit in the face while batting and broke his nose. During the top of the fourteenth inning, we finally make one run before we get shut down. To win, we just had to hold the other team down for three more outs. Eventually, we get one out, but the other team scores a run to tie the game again. To follow that up, the other team scores a ground rule double, scoring the winning run. One of my friends, who is a senior, so this was his last game, was crying by the end of it, and I'm fairly certain he wasn't the only one.
I never stopped smiling though. I've never compared myself to Pinkie Pie before, but when we play games, it seems I'm the only one who smiles after a loss. Maybe we have more in common than I thought.
In other, more important news, I'd like all of you, if you believe in it, to pray for the victims in the recent Kentucky tornado. I'm not sure of the details surrounding it, such as when it hit or the severity of the storm, but I know that there was some pretty bad damage. Hopefully there were no casualties, and the fewer injuries, the better.
~Z out!
Hey, as long as you had fun, you win. Right?
Hopefully that tornado wasn't to bad and some rescue teams got in there quick.
I'm glad you can still remain cheerful after losing! That's, like, a huge life skill. And I shall indeed pray for them. Do you follow maxxxxxx? She was a victim, but she escaped the worst of it.
2135951 maxxxxxx is actually who I found out about the storm from. I like to keep track of the well being of my friends, and she's one of them. So when I heard about the tornado, I nearly panicked. I was glad to hear she was okay. However, her neighbor with the tree in his/her bedroom... I hope they're okay.
2136278 Yah, me too. That's just crazy!
