Just wanted to say hi to everyone, see what's going on, see if you're all liking the latest and (almost assuredly) last installment of Ink Well's tale. Luckily, I have absolutely no life and no prospects right now, which sucks for just about everything except writing, so there's at least that.
Anyway, I also wanted to say that I remembered recently that there were two pictures that I drew over two years ago (both found on my deviant art account http://medicshy.deviantart.com/ ) that have finally become relevant to the story at hand. There are more than 2 pictures, but you'll have to look for the others because I am a bad enough artist as it is that I don't want to be showing off my lack of skills TOO readily...
Anyway, the first was from the first chapter of Where Night Meets Day. I mentioned it there, I recently put it up in the author's notes on the first chapter here, but I'll throw it in the blog as well, because why not?
The second image is a mini-spoiler for the upcoming chapter, but I like it anyway, and if you've been reading you probably can see where this is going.
Yes, I am well aware that these are sketches I did during class because I was bored, and thus are little more than pencil, and yes, I realize that the fact that these were sitting so strongly in my head 2 years ago gives away the fact that I have been thinking about THIS PARTICULAR STORY since, like, the second chapter of Source Material, but shush, I'm crazy like that.
.... I have no idea what I'm gonna do with myself once it's over.
Your faithful writer,
~Medicshy
Now I'm dying to know who Steam's mom was to find out how she got that curly hair, since I know she didn't get it from her dad. His hair is more....wavy, I guess.
2113744 Bonus points if you can guess which one is her actual dad, but her mom is a character you would have met if you'd read the other stories... *cough* unsubtle hint *cough*
Art note: Horses (and ponies, as far as I can tell) have similar arm joints. Therefore, the place where you drew their forelegs bending back is actually the elbow joint. It looks like they broke their legs. In the futures, consider making that joint bend forwards, and the backwards joint be lower, roughly correlating to the wrist/fingers.

Maybe, but the ponies in the show can put a hoof to their own chins when lost in thought. I think any concept of "realistic" leg joints is moot at this point.

If they have a ball and socket on their shoulders and a more flexible "wrist" joint, it can work.
2114058 Art note: I AM BAD AT ART AND KNOW IT. Don't give me any more notes, it only ruins my day. Thanks for that.
