Epilogue Updated, What's Next and Solicitation for Comments · 5:19pm May 11th, 2014
Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the extended silence. Knight of Cerebus and I have finally gotten the epilogue proof-read and updated. The changes are fairly minor, but if you're curious to see what a difference the proofing makes, please feel free to take another look at the final chapter and see if you can spot any differences.
I've also deleted almost all the author's comments in the chapters, as they were really irrelevant. As far as I'm concerned, Twilight's Plan is now finished. I will make changes if anyone points out any errors, but otherwise it's done.
There have been a couple of questions about what I'll do next, and I'm afraid I'm really undecided and uninspired.
I wrote a TwiLunEstia as a thank-you to Knight of Cerebus, but it'd need some heavy duty editing before it's ready for public consumption. Not sure if / when that will happen. The story is pitched at 'teen' level rather than 'mature' and is unrelated to Twilight's Plan (at least in it's current iteration). It took three attempts at TwiLunEstia to get something I considered readable, which is why things have been quiet up until now.
I have also written 18,000 words of a hardcore Twilight / Luna / Moondancer clopfic that I quite like, but it is a) only about half done, b) has lots of tone problems with what is done, and c) doesn't have much humour. It's also a fair bit more hardcore than Twilight's Plan, which was already pushing past some people's limits, so the audience isn't likely to be significant anyway.
I did start writing the first chapter of a sequel to Twilight's Plan, but it didn't quite gel for me and the season four finale did quite a number on it. I could keep going with that, but I might need to make drastic changes (drop the clop or drop the humour or drop something).
I am open to suggestions, but I can't make any promises of any kind. Would you prefer a clop story, a humour story, both? An adventure, a one-shot, a piece exploring possible headcanon pony lore? If you have any preferences or feelings on the topic, please feel free to post in the comments. I promise to read the comments, but I won't necessarily do anything anyone suggests.

Well, I'm always willing to encourage a writer to work out their own headcanon/world build for their own sakes as much as for anything to entertain the readers. It helps the writer, I think, have a clearer idea for future work and a good frame to build possibly multiple stories off of. In the detailing they may run across story ideas they hadn't considered when just keeping it solely in their head.
That aside, I have to say I'm always up for adventure and humor. Heck, you might find a bit of 'dark' might be a good palate cleanser for other ideas if neither the clop or humor are moving through your mind at the moment. (I put dark in quotation marks because I mean something with merely hints of not so positive intentions rather than outright Cupcakes level gorn.)
Wouldnt mind a clop/humour fic, if written well they tend to be quite excellent. As to that twi/Luna/ moondancer fic, you'd be surprised at the size of audience that a hardcore clop fic can get, and if you really like it, it doesn't matter what everyone else says.
I"m pretty much down for ANY well written Twiluna. Also, fun fact, http://www.fimfiction.net/group/67/twiluna/thread/111490/the-second-twiluna-contest is going on now, so you could do something for that maybe?
2100970 Thanks Ebonysdagger - you've given me something to think about. I'm probably not going to go dark, though, as I really don't like what comes out of my head in those circumstances. Might not go adventure - I've enjoyed working with Knight of Cerebus, and he doesn't like adventure stories.
2101095 Thanks, Lelouch Vi Britania. If I go with the Moondancer thing, it will be months before it's ready, and I may run out of steam before then. I'll think about it. Clop / humour one-shot could be interesting though.
2101361 I like TwiLuna, but also like Twixie and AppleDash. Not sure if I could have anything done in time for that contest, but it might be well worth a try. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Basic message I'm getting here is 'more of the same would be fine'. Might do a semi-sequel about Twilight getting her wings in this universe, maybe? Could act as a lead in to other stuff. I'll think about it.

If you do decide to do it, and then run out of steam, as It were, you should post up what you get finished. I'm sure it'd be very entertaining.
