Imperial update: new blog, same story, final episode

Well, I found it more helpful for others to put so called "ideas" and "opinions" that "matter" on blogs in the past, so I will do the same.

For starters, I am happy to say the next chapter is under construction, and as a result is already past 1200 words (around 600 a day now). I have taken a break from writing somewhat because of testing. It sucks.

It sucks.
The naming for some characters can still be participated in by you lovely readers, and I will announce this by a new interlude titled "where in the world is <agent name here>" and will include humor, drama, action and enough rotten fruit to choke a monkey.

Sadly, the writing as a result is getting away from me due to responsibilities....
In effect, I need someone to help me edit and proofread, and any volunteers will be welcome as long as you have some credentials, and if you do volunteer and qualify and make my stories pretty editorially, you get a badass cognomen as a gift from the senate. Flaunt it however you like; go up to the counter and introduce yourself that way and when they ask, say it came from Augustus Caesar for helping him write pony fan fiction.

Now onto the new finale...
I was late to the party...

A few hours earlier

It was a busy day in Rome, the latest war meetings about taking Parthia were being held. At a request I had them cut short so I could enjoy one of my lesser known guilty pleasures that I shared with my brother in law, Tiberius.
Once I reached my home, I was welcomed by a worker of the house.

"Dear principes, I hope you find everything to your liking!" He said, nervous sweat rolling across his forehead.

"I do as well, now escort me to the place where I may find the television."
It had been a gift, one that I regularly enjoyed after an adventure I had in the cities of a land called "America".

But that is another story for another time, involving magical horseless carts, lightning spewing weapons, flying blue boxes and a man with a glowing, humming device he called a "screwdriver".

In any case, I was to keep the device a secret, and regularly kept it in different parts of my home.
The servant I asked to escort me to the most recent location had begun to shake and sweat more, mumbling out some incoherent mess that made me slightly annoyed.

"Is it here?"
"Yes but-"
"Then take me to it"

seven minutes later

"Octavius, please get ahold of yourself"
Sadly I couldn't hear Tiberius quite clearly, as I was banging my had against the wall.
"AT&T, AT&T, GIVE ME BACK MY PONIES"
I was late,
I thought it began at 10...
It didn't.

"Come now, noble Caesar, can't we just watch the reruns lat-"
"NO! ALL THEY PLAY AFTER IS THAT DAMNED SICKNESS THEY CALL LITTLEST PET SHOP!"
"Then use the other gift from the madman."
I ceased the banging of my head against the wall long enough to stare at him in bewilderment.
"What?"
"You know, the one you wrote the story on... And read that... interesting literature on-"
"I'm sorry Tiberius I have no idea what you're talking about." I said, regaining my stoic outer shell, preparing to defend my reading of any fan fiction (it wasn't my fault Tiberius read the smutty ones first, I told him to be careful)

"Riiiight... Well, you could probably watch the show on there."
I continued to look at him with the same confusion.
Tiberius then introduced me to the wonderful world of YouTube, and I got to watch all of the episodes I have yet to see up until now.

They found me later curled up under a blanket in a dark room, constantly re-watching the AWESOME FINAL EPISODE!

So in conclusion: I rather enjoyed the finale, I approve of much of the action and the introduction of an actual story arc into the show, and hope for more in the future.

I will now take commissar Alexer's brilliant idea and make a strategic
Withdrawal from the site, (duck out before the flood of new fan fiction comes in, both with the new tease at romance, and with the new resulting developments, but no spoilers as to what except Immediately below.)

Also, Rest in peace, mighty golden oaks library, you lasted four seasons, outlasted more than four barns, and were replaced by the fortress of solitude friendship

All in all, a good episode, and the season and new stories will tide me over until the fall.

With that, I bid each of you a farewell for now, until the next post!

Thoughts to consider for today:
Mutantur omnia nos et mutamur in illis
All things change, and we change with them.
