So I'm out here on the slopes, enjoying the views and getting slashed every night... 
...Why am I so bored..? 
Anyway, FIMFiction stuff. 
I've consulted my favourite author about my new story and I'm in the slow progress of editing the first chapter. My question though. Do I round up three 1k chapters and then post, or post this one chapter once it's ready..? 
The next thing is April 1st. Everything about it was stupid... loved it! 
Off topic; I must admit the last three episodes of MLP have been much better and I am looking forward to the next. Whenever I discuss the episodes with my favourite author I must admit the most recent episodes have proved much more engaging. 
Although, after watching some older episodes, I do miss discovering the mane six.

You could do it either way, really, it just depends on how you want to release stuff. I find myself writing a couple of chapters, and then realizing they would've worked better as a single chapter later on, so now it takes a lot longer to do stuff.
Also, may I ask who your favorite author is? I'm torn between a couple myself.

IMO, it was the best part about the show. The other components can be a little lackluster at times.

And oddly enough, I think that's the only thing that held Applejack back for such a long time and made people complain that she's a background pony.
We pretty much met her in Applebuck Season and then she had only minor development from there on out. I can't complain too much because I still enjoyed most of the episodes focused on her and her family, but you can't really look at Applejack alone most of the time, because the cartoon refused to do that. It does mean she makes every other pony around her more awesome though.
Then again, she's a really straight forward kind of character and less conflicted than most of her friends. Everyone else has layers to dig into and she's a thin crust cheese pizza. I love that though. Sometimes that's all you really need. I still wish they'd done more with her...
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble like that. It's just about the only thing that has bothered me and for awhile I didn't really care but since we finally got her key episode, it makes me feel kind of sad, now that you brought that up.
I don't know why but now that I've seen most of Season 4 and watched a number of her episodes over again, and I just seem to be focusing on Apple stories at the moment, it made me think of that.

Well, in general my thoughts are like this: I respect what she is... A lot. As a character she is the true athlete. Rainbow Dash is a show off and I know it. Although she shows herself to be just as strong as AJ, AJ is just a more classy type of athletic. In recent times, her plowing escapade really shows her strength... So sexy...
To be honest that's all she is for me. A shipping partner.
Then again that's how I see all the mane six! 
I guess I have the same problem as you. She never learns anything, and we can't associate with her because she so fucking flawless. The only time she ever has a problem is when she is too good at something.

The true secret to saving everything.
Well, I can definitely see where you're coming from. At the same time, I don't think she is flawless, but unfortunately the writers haven't wanted to examine that in-depth for awhile. Someone to Watch Over Me and that slight hiccup in Leap of Faith (which did present her with a great conundrum) have been rather rare and still always devoted to her family, not just Applejack. Same can be said for her mistakes in The Last Roundup, Over a Barrel, Pinkie Apple Pie, and Apple Family Reunion, although the former two were a bit more focused on her than the family overall.
It isn't that she's perfect (now that I think about it, she screwed up in Princess Twilight Sparkle Part 2, although that was rather rushed and kind of weird in general), but isn't allowed to do much without her family. And in general, all of her mistakes mostly surround her family. Although, thinking on it, her fall into being Discorded in The Return of Harmony Part 1 was all about her friends and self-reinforcing. But sadly those instances are still minor and always handled when she's not really the sole focus.
I think it's really just that her honesty makes her great for forcing other characters to face the truth or for granting exposition, but it can get in the way of her taking more of a direct protagonist role. At least not without really digging into what the truth means and that could be too dry and too over the heads of kids, depending on what they do with it. I dunno...
I think they need to examine her biases and her self-delusions a bit more. Everyone has them. Or do some individual friendship pair ups for particular plots more often. We rarely see AJ with just a few of her friends and more often when the whole Mane Six are there, but she shines the most when it's just a handful of them.
