Status of "Reign of Chaos" and preview of later stories

So I've sat down and started working on that fan fic of mine, now that school's pretty much over and my AP US History test is out of the way (seriously, the essays this year were a joke! I could've answered all 5 of them without a problem). The first chapter introduces Discord and the Princesses (Celestia and Luna, of course) and introduces (and subsequently kills off) C and L's father, the King (more on his name later on in this post!) It also names the King of the Draconequi, Essyron, and there's a brief appearance of the Changelings and Chrysalis.

Some points of interest from the original story which I subsequently deleted:
- The first two or three chapters were originally going to be about the war between Equestria and the Draconequi (with the nation of them remaining unnamed). This got cut mainly because I didn't feel like writing two or three chapters about a war; I'd rather establish that there was one, Discord comes into power, ya da ya da.
- Originally, the first chapter would have been about a battle that the Prince conducts to try and end the war by killing the king of the Draconequi.
- There was to be no appearance of the Princesses until about Chapter 4, but they would have been mentioned several times.
- Discord originally was to come in and murder the King and Queen then rule Equestria with an iron fist.
- I was planning on having a chapter devoted to Discord and his choices while in power, especially focusing on why he chooses/chose to use crazy antics as opposed to, say, making the skies rain fire and the ground eat ponies alive.
- Discord was going to go out of his way to make everypony's life as miserable as possible as revenge for the assassination of his father.
- Discord's full name and title was going to be Discordonniquus Q. (last name not established by the time I threw the original story out the window (figuratively)), Prince of the Chimeras and Lieutenant General of the Armies.
- Luna was originally going to be completely corrupted by Discord and forced to fight her sister, almost to the death.
- The Elements of Harmony would generate a sort of force field around all of Equestria, preventing anything bad from entering or leaving (think "Shining Armor Canterlot Force Field, but covering all of Equestria from border to border and about 10 times more powerful). This would prevent Discord from entering the kingdom directly, but would allow a corrupted pony to get through as they would register as Equestrian.
- Discord would have used a corrupted pegasus to take down the EoH Force Field.

Chapter One should be completed by the end of the month, with a few other chapters worked on slowly over the next six months. My plan is to have it proofread by 5 or 6 of my closest friends/bronies, then have it sent in to two or three pre-readers (or whatever they're called) after I receive feedback from those 5 or 6, with the first two chapters posted by October/November (depending on how much procrastination I put into this project). The working title is "Reign of Chaos", but that will most likely change in the coming months according to recommendations from people.

Also, even though "Reign of Chaos" is my main focus right now, I'm starting to come up with two crossover ideas: "War Games" (a 1980s Cold War movie about a kid/computer hacker who hacks into a military computer and nearly starts WWIII) and "StarCraft" (a popular RTS game involving humans (Terran), hive-mind organics (Zerg), and technologically advanced aliens (Protoss)). These two are just ideas on the table right now, with no fleshing out of the story or anything going on. I'll let you guys know when I start work on them. I'm also just barely starting to formulate ideas for a Night Mare Moon origin story.

In terms of publishing ideas, I plan on submitting all my stories to FiMFiction and seeing how popular they get. If they get popular enough, maybe I'll consider EQD, but I've compared my work to work that makes it on EQD and my work reads like a story written by a toddler compared to the stuff posted on there. Over time I'm sure my writing will get better and better, but as of right now there's no way my story/stories would make it on EQD and do well. Because of this, I'm kind of locking myself out of access to other stories while I'm writing because I know that if I do, it'll make me want to barf/cry/throw my notebook(s) into a forest fire/all of the above.

Well I can't talk about the Multiple Choice, but I can tell you the essays.
DBQ was: "In the post–Civil War United States, corporations grew significantly in number, size, and influence. Analyze the
impact of big business on the economy and politics and the responses of Americans to these changes. Confine
your answer to the period 1870 to 1900."
Pre-Civil War FRQs were: "Analyze the effect of the French and Indian War and its aftermath on the relationship
between Great Britain and the British colonies. Confine your response to the period
from 1754 to 1776." or "Analyze how western expansion contributed to growing sectional tensions between the
North and the South. Confine your answer to the period from 1800 to 1850."
Post-Antebellum FRQs were: "Analyze the origins and outcomes of the intense cultural conflicts of the 1920s. In your

For your information, I chose 3 and 5, with the comparison I chose being Eisenhower and Nixon.

Basically, it's a mouthful, and it wasn't fun. But after the test I was all =D
