Which story idea should I go with? · 12:09am Mar 18th, 2014
Right now I have a few different story ideas I was thinking of pursuing. The only problem is, I'm not sure which one to focus on first. Any suggestions?
Here are the stories in question:
1. A Cheese Sandwich/Pinkie Pie fic. I've written the first chapter so far, but I decided to put it off for a bit. I don't really know where to take it other than making it just a normal romance fic. Which I guess is fine, but I dunno... 
2. A Lightning Dust fic. I like her character and I've been wanting to write a story about her for a while. The premise would be her life pre Wonderbolts Academy. Probably a somewhat sad fic. Haven't started yet.
3. A RariTrend or TrenderJack fic. One, not both. I was leaning more towards writing a TrenderJack fic first. It would be about Trenderhoof trying to win AJ's heart once more, only this time with different results. 
Again, wouldn't know where to go with this other than making it a relatively simple romance story. Haven't started yet.
4. More Maud poems or a Maud fic. 
5. Octavia's Lost Melody rewrite. I'm not too enthusiastic towards rewriting this but I could try it.
Those are the main thoughts I have on my mind. There are a few other options I've considered but I'm not sure they're that worth pursuing. I've lost my inspiration for 12 Ponies but I might get back to it someday. 
I was considering maybe writing a dialogue only story for fun, but I'm not sure I could pull that off. After writing The Invincible Iron Mare, I was also considering maybe diving back into the Power Ponies universe.

I've enjoyed both your Maud Pie fics, and if you wrote more, I'd love to read those as well.
But to give other ponies a chance, perhaps the CheesePie or the Lightning Dust one.

I'm most familiar with your Maud poems and her fanfic, so it'd be nice to see what else you can write about. A Lightning Dust story would be exciting, mostly because you'd get to explore her motivations to be 'the best' in order to become a Wonderbolt. Tenderhoof didn't strike me as a stallion with the potential to have a long-lasting and meaningful relationship with either Applejack or Rarity, but I suppose its possible depending on how you characterize the characters, what their motivations are, and what situations they're placed in. My vote is on Lightning Dust above all else, but second is Maud and third Tenderhoof shipping.

Putting Trenderhoof into a serious relationship with either of those two would involve changing his character, I admit. It would be a bit difficult to pull off.
So that's another vote for Lightning. I guess I know which story I'll most likely be starting first.
The Maud-and-Power Ponies relationship sounds interesting. You could do Maud, Power Ponies, or both.

I loved your Maud fics! I also think the CheesePie co good Idea! Maybe you could do a collab with other authors, but that's your choice!
