Weapons of Power

The Sword. a traditional and much more elegant weapon to use in a battle, and my personal preferred weapon of choice. They have had MANY different appearances, and styles over the millennia, but some have stood out, not just in style, but also because of the myths, and folklore that surrounded their powers, and uses. the following are just a few that I myself know of.

The Dark Blade
Known in folklore as a blade of darkness, it's traditionally a rapier in style, it's able to be swung extremely fast, and can send out energy waves from it's slices when magic is infused with the sword, on top of being able to harness darkness on it's own.

The Great Fairy's Sword
This blade is a great sword in type, and is supposedly able to destroy any evil monster or being, thanks to the black rose etched into it's blade.

The Evolution of the Master Sword
The Master Sword, known as the Blade of Evil's Bane, it was crafted by the goddesses, long ago, to be able to slay the demons that threatened their land. originally called the Goddess Sword, it evolved to the Goddess Long Sword, then Goddess White Sword, then Master Sword, and finally to it's fully powered State that is so iconic. it is a blade that Evil Fears. for nothing that is evil can touch it. it is compatible with the object of power, the elements of Harmony, and is able to be charged by them into the blade of Harmony, shown below.

The Dragon Dagger
This weapon is held in Dragonian lore, as being a dagger weapon able to have magic infused in it to extend it's blade when needed, and can double as a flute, who's notes is said to calm any dragon's rage when played for one. it can also empower a dragon, and protect them as well.

The Keyblade in it's default form: Kingdom Key
this blade looks like a giant key yes, but it's powerful, when in the hooves of a master, it's able to take different forms when a specific keychain is attached to it's hilt, and each form's abilities are different, some are physically stronger in attack power, whilst others are better for defensive use, and others for magical attacks.it should be noted, though that this weapon chooses it's master. and some, reflect their wielder.

Soul Eater, the adolescent form of a keyblade known as Way to the Dawn
This blade was once wielded by a keyblade wielder known as Riku who gave his heart to the Darkness, being led astray in the process, but after being shown the road to the dawn by his friends, and choosing to accept the darkness and use it to help and protect those he cares for, rather than avoid it, and fear it, his blade grew, and changed into his Keyblade, the Way to he Dawn, shown below.

The Dragon Sword
Carved from the fang of a Dragon, this sword can cut through just about anything on it's own, and houses tremendous power, but when the Dragon Materia is attached to the hilt of the sword, it becomes a force to be feared, becoming even more powerful as it's spiritual power is awakened.
in addition, the True Dragon Sword form, which is awakened when the Dragon Materia is combined with it, will only kill that which is evil. if somepony is struck by it and NOT of evil intent, they are spared.
Another thing to note is that if the wielder is NOT of strong conviction and hold blood deemed worthy by Dragons, or of a dragon, the wielder's soul will be absorbed by the sword.

Blade of the Archfiend, with it's counterpart, the Dragon Sword
a terribly powerful sword, who's power is rivaled by the Dragon Sword. unlike the True Dragon Sword however, it IS able to kill those of good intentions as well. it's evil power is shown by the red magical lightning that dances along it's surface.

Sword of Darkness
Ah, the powerful Sword of Darkness, according to legend, it grants the wielder terrible power, at the cost of their sanity, with the wielders going mad over time as they use it....however, I have wielded it for some time, and have not gone insane...Hmm...

The Power Sword
This blade was carved out of the fang of a Tyrannosaurus long ago, and strengthed so that it is unbreakable. (Like all the other blades in this list. though the Blade of the Archfiend HAS been broken before...)
it's powers include being able to have it's blade charged with magic for stronger cutting power, and being able to launch a sword beam from it when charged with magic.

Sword of Omens, both in it's true form, and it's dormant form.
Housing the mystical and magical eye of thundera in it's hilt, this blade is powerful beyond what's known to ponies at the time. it can harness various types of magical attacks, can extend beyond it's normal length, and in dormant form is a dagger, when it's awakened by a battle cry it extends to triple it's length, and can grant the wielder more power, better sight, and can come to their aid when called.
