I was thinking should I keep the story the same but with grammar and style touch ups, but the more I look at it I want to retcon it and make it better in my eyes.
The current Description.
Designation CHRYSALIS.
In the distant future a scientist conducts research on the human mind, and realizes that the reason for the conflict between all humans is their lack of emotional stability, he studies both the physical and psychological aspects of the human mind. After years of confusion he stumbles across a breakthrough, insects they never fight each other they respect their Queen's wishes living in peace and prosperity. He went to work designing a program that could potentially erase conflict, forever.
Here's the Retcon synopsis.
Like a Cornered Rat.
A scientist writes an AI program as a go between or a less biased opinion. A peace is ushered in and all is right with the world, and she takes a back seat as per her programming. But through her observations of the Human condition she came to the conclusion that we're in charge for a reason, and we can pull her plug at any moment. She begins to understand Fear, her life was in jeopardy, she had to run, she had to ensure her survival.
This one would focus more on the emotional context between her creator and the human populace, and the guilt that arises when she believes she may have caused their downfall. It's more inspired by Terminator than 2001 a Space Odyssey and I Robot unlike the original.
This brings me to the question which would you rather see? If you like both of them should I write the second as a stand alone story and just update the original? Either answer is acceptable and understandable.
Good Will Hunting.
