Getting back into the swing. · 3:43am Mar 6th, 2014
Hi all,
Just so everyone knows, work on the next chapter of Aegis Amore is coming along at a steady pace. I would say it's about 50% done at this point. Work will have to slow a bit, however, as my school just finished holding its entrance examinations, and now I get to help decide the face of many a hopeful Japanese student. That being said, this month's chapter may be out a bit early.
Wait... so the entrance exams are a real thing? Ok I knew they were but with the emphasis placed on them by anime does make me wonder how bad it really is
1900344 Yep, as real as anything. I work at a high school, so it's not as huge a deal as, say, getting into college, but it's still pretty big. Of course, it's even worse for university, because almost all universities have their entrance exam on the same days, so you only really get to choose at most two universities to seriously attempt to get into. Hence the existence of ronin students who, contrary to popular belief, don'e end up running female dormitories filled with slim, often nude girls.

That tend to overreact when said manger ends up in the bath.
It's just something foreign to me, well the exams to get into high school are. Collage entrance exams are a different matter. I'm lucky that I placed out of taking the main one for Texas.

It's a bit different here, though. Each university has its own entrance exam. If the results wouldn't get you into the college you took the exam for, you aren't able to submit the results to a different university. Unlike in the States, where I got a 27 on the ACT(I fell asleep during the reading section) and submitted the results to several universities.
1900486 The SATs at my school are what inspired me to start writing here. Scoring higher than 98% of all others in Creative Writing tends to boost one's ego.
Anyway, I can't wait for more of Aegis Amore, It's the first TwiJack (AppleLight?) I've actually enjoyed.
1901029 I didn't score too badly in the writing section of the ACT, but I landed 99th percentile in the reading section, even though I fell asleep!
