Thanks to Knight of Lycaeus giving me helpful information on knighting and peerage, I've found myself reworking some of the plot. When you combine that with having to alter some dialogue to fit the slightly new direction while still keeping it as in-character as I can, then you can see that I've got quite a bit of work to do. Let's not forget the fact that a new school year has started here in Japan and with that comes all of the social obligations of welcoming new teachers to the English department, preparing for the Culture Festival and setting up new lesson plans to go along with yet another new textbook. I'm a bit swamped. Still working at it when I can, but I'm going to have to push back the next chapter by one month. Super sorry, guys, but I want Aegis Amore to be as good as I can make it.
Here's a small, spoiler-free paragraph from the next chapter to tide you over(I'm still going to use the spoiler cover for those of you who want to avoid it):
“I don't mind travellin' by train or carriage,” Applejack said, “I just wish they weren't so dang cramped.” Twilight smiled in response before her horn flared with magic. Applejack felt waves of soothing energy flow through her joints. The need to stretch soon fled her entirely, and she moaned in appreciation. “I might just have to take you home with me, if'n you can do that every day,” she said jokingly as her legs seemed to turn into noodles.
Thank you all for waiting patiently. By patiently, I mean not yelling at me in comments or messages to get the next chapter out right now or else.
