It's Done!

The rough draft of chapter 14 is finally finished. Sorry it took so long, I have no excuse. Hopefully, future chapters won't take five months to finish. Really, it shouldn't have taken this long in the first place. I have no idea why it was so hard to focus on it. ETA on when it's ready and up, may be two weeks, baring any unforeseen circumstances. In the mean time enjoy a little interlude I just came up with.

“There we go,” Barry said as he picked himself up from the ground, “Now all I have to do is water the garden.” Before Zander got too involved in his new journey he had asked his friend and rival Barry to look after his villa, in exchange Barry would be allowed to stay there while Zander was gone. It was a simple job. All Barry had to do was keep the place clean, the garden watered and weeded.

At least until a certain red headed Elite Four member showed up. “Hey Zander you around?” He shouted.

“He's not here Flint,” Barry answered back.

“Barry!” Flint shouted as he ran up to the young trainer putting him in a headlock, “Good to see you! But a... what are you doing here?”

Barry freed himself and explained that Zander was on some new journey with rookie trainers and would be gone until further notice.

“Well then, this is perfect,” Flint said with a sly smirk.

“Flint... what are you planning?” Barry asked a little frightened.

“You see I was going to try and convince Zander to let me throw a party here, but now I don't have to.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm responsible for this place until Zander gets back, and I don't think he would want some out of control party-”

“Did he say we couldn't?” Flint interrupted.

“A... no.”

“There you go. Now I'll take care of everything, and don't worry it will just be something small.”

Later that night

“Who wants to see me lift this couch!” Shouted the masked wrestler gym leader Crasher Wake.

“Go for it!” Byron shouted back.

Barry had become mortified by his 'masters' actions. What made it worse was the fact Wake hadn't even had anything to drink. Things deteriorated further when Wake threw the couch into Zander's piano.

“This is so bad! What am I going to do!” Barry thought out loud as he ran around looking for some one to help him get control of the situation. All his hope was lost until he found Volkner. “Volkner you gotta help me!”

“Sorry kid it's too late for that.”

“But-”

“Once you let Flint in, there's nothing you can do except just ride it out.”

“I am so dead.”

“Yes you are. But hey, at least you can have a shot at Maylene.”

“Yeah, maybe.”

In the morning

“Oow my head, why can't I open my left eye,” Barry said as he got up off the floor. He looked around and was horrified. The villa had been completely trashed.

“Wow that's quite the shiner,” Flint said as walked into the room, “Looks like you had a go-”

“Get out!”

“But-”

“GET OUT! I've had more than enough of you, just leave.”

Without a word Flint left leaving Barry alone.

“Zander is going to be so pissed. Oh, Arceus please let the berry garden be okay!” Barry ran outside to make sure it was alright. Thankfully it was, “Thank heavens for small miracles.” As he looked around he saw the yard was also a mess. “How could twelve people do so much damage? What am I going to do? How am I going to explain this?”

Meanwhile in Kanto

Zander stopped and looked around for a minute.

“Zander, is everything okay?” Twilight asked him.

“I... don't... know. I just have this strong urge to strangle Barry.”

“Who?”

“It's nothing. Let's just go, I'll figure this out later.”
