Chapter 6 · 1:03pm Feb 23rd, 2014
Okay after many delays and whatnot I am glad to say that chapter six is nearly completed, currently topping out at nearly 4.3k in words at the moment. There will be a lot more plot advancement in this chapter, Evan will actually start to interact with more ponies, has tea with Tia and Luch with Lulu.... wow I just realized how that sounds. Complete and total accedent.... have a sneak peak.
Its been almost a week and a half since that day with Celestia, and I have gone and had tea with her twice and even had a late night snack with Luna not more than two days ago. As it turns out, the lunar princess had been wanting to meet me, as she found my mind to be intriguing from what she had glimpsed not to long ago...
It was about three a.m. according to the small clock that sat on my desk, and I was still awake. Not that I couldn't sleep, I just couldn't stay asleep, too much on my mind. Sighing I kicked off the warm blanket, threw on a pair of pants and began to head towards the garden. I always found that it calmed my mind. I noted that the night air was crisp and the sky was sprinkled with clouds that obscured the moon. Sitting on one the benches I looked at a particular patch of flowers that I had never seen bloom, and was shocked to see the dark lilies springing open, revealing a glowing azure stem, just as the moon exited from behind the clouds.
"Beautiful, are they not?"
I jumped up, yelping at the voice but calmed down when I saw who it was. "Oh, goodness you scared me princess," I say bowing. "And yes they are, this is the first time I have seen them bloom."
Luna's cerulean eyes looked into mine for a moment before they looked at the glowing plant. "Sorry, We-I- did not mean to scare you."
"No you are fine your highness, I was just wrapped up in my own thoughts." I said smiling slightly.
Luna smiled a bit, but her eyes never left the plant. "This is a moon lilly, a flower that only blooms at night, and even then when the moon is visible. You should consider yourself lucky." Her voice was as exotic and soft as the smile she wore. "This breed of flower was a gift from an old friend of mine, 'To keep you company throughout the nights.' He died not soon after he made these."
Well you're a big ball of fucking sunshine, huh? "Sometimes the lights that burn brightest burn the shortest." I say sagely.
Luna turned to me and smiled, looking slightly smug. But then again that could just be her face... "You are a strange one, Evan Wright."
"So I've been told..." I say, grinning slightly.
