Heya folks! I added a new cover image to Roses for the Grave, let me know what you think or if you preferred the old one. I had an artist who was going to make an official cover image, but that fell through due to RL issues she had. I will need to get something official at some point.
Anyway, I plan to rework and update chapter one tonight, hopefully I'll finish all the edits. I would like to forewarn all of you that I will be making a somewhat major retcon on one of the characters visual appearance. I've decided that Ecto Burst, the ghost, will look like a child. She was already in that mind set and treated like such like, for example, when she asked Julius to read her a bed time story.
One thing that has bothered me and made me wonder if I should rework the rules or retcon them is how I explained dark magic and how it worked. I had said one can cast dark magic without having the visual effects such as the horn and eyes changing. Basically you can use normal magic to cast the dark magic oriented spells, but at a greater cost. Truthfully, the reason I even put that rule in there was because when I started writing this story it was before season 3 started and we got to see the shows semi-offical dark magic. It was more or less a work around to fit cannon without going back and rewriting it out of the story. However, now that I'm actually proofreading and fixing up the story I wonder if I should make the change. Thoughts, opinions?

As for the retcon, you can keep the dark magic thing as is, Just say that discretely casting dark magic requires a more advanced technique or something. But whatever, do as you wish.

Hmm, that could work actually. Basically it's as I already have it said, the cost of using normal magic grows exponentially making it inefficient.
