Maybe you noticed, there popped up two "new" universes over the last weeks.
In case you didn't read the title, I'm talking about "Humans Acting Villainous" and "Your Human and You" I've read a few story in each universe and I thought I should share my opinion. Yeah, I'm that kind of a guy apparently. So, lets start.
Humans Acting Villainous:
Each story can be reduced to the core, which is in this case a costumed human travels somehow to Equestria and gets the power of the guy he is dressed as. Then they decided to spread mischief and chaos.
Well, a few of these stories are really funny. My favorites so far are "F*** it I'm Having Fun" and "The Rise of Darth Vulcan". I know it's supposed to be comedy mostly but I thought: If you really want to be a villain just open up a bank in Equestria. Or invent lawyers. Be the first Jehovah's Witness. I never saw any sign of them in the show and that would be the kind of evil a normal human could bring to Equestria. Just imagine...
Your Human and You:
Humans goes to the planet of the apes ponies. Thats it. Humans there are normally non-sentient (some who origin from earth too) and are pets, slaves, sex-slaves and food. If I would end up in such a situation I really wouldn't mind. I have two dogs of my own and they have a good live. Big lawn to play and shit in all day. Two meals a day and three walks. Every time some of my relatives visit they get snacks and so on. Both aren't neutered by the way. So you wouldn't have to go work, you would get your meals and everything. All that for doing a few tricks for a freaking cute pony? I really wouldn't mind.
Yeah, I know. There are bad things too. But that isn't what I want to complain about. The first thing is, all humans in these stories are male. I'm male, so I've got no problem with being male but I'm bored. Why not a woman sometimes? (Why not Zoidberg?). But thats only issue No.1. The second would be the female humans in Eqeustria and how the human from earth reacts to them. In these stories they pretty much crave for the humans from earth, who are most of the time aged from 20-30. But every time the human in question puts their advances down. Since when does a man have a problem to fuck a stupid (in this case non-sapient. Again, we have enough people who could be described as that too) chick? (Example: Barney Stinson.) They are in the prime of their lives, with hormones rushing through their bloodstream. If ten nude women would advance on ugly old me I only would ask: "Who wants first?" It's unrealistic, to sum it up. But it could be my fetishes talking. (What also would interest me what would happen if a fat guy would end up there. Acting like Opalescence and planning to rule the world while sitting on the lap of a pony.)
So, that are my thoughts to these stories. It would really interest me what you guys think about them.

Well... there is a slight difference between a pet, slave, sex-slave and food. In half of these situations I would actually mind.
Also these things are a bit different. Stupid is one thing but non-sapient... I don't know, probably would have to decide on the situation and the degree of the non-sapient-ish-ness-I'll stop adding more words.
I also wonder why there are so few female in Equestria stories, I'd like to see more of them

I always thought those were stories simply shamelessly copying each other and somehow getting away with that. A lot of them read like the same thing with just swapped names and abilities.
I actually think Your Human and You has the recipe for brilliance when it comes to attracting a lot of readers. First off, 'humanity being animals by the superior ponies' brings in all the misanthropes on this site. Reading about humans being leashed and branded probably makes them all hot and bothered. Yet at the same time, it doesn't cross the line into total misanthropy as, say, a TCB fic, by having an intelligent human being as the main protagonist. That would appeal to the HiE crowd and other casual readers. And the writing is quite good, though the subject matter is abhorrent. Of course, that leads to the other kettle of fish, being that now it seems like everyone just wants to use it as a cheap template to create their own

Spin-offs are not bad, but often not well done. When someone takes up on an idea and does it well, I have nothing against it. But just to often it's just a copy with a different name for the protagonist, to that I agree.
1856226 Because the majority of bronies are men? ... That should mean there'd be an unfathomable amount female in Equestria fics where the female would basically lay down and spread their legs for everything... This fandom is too pure in that regard.
On another note, if I were to be ported into the YHaY universe and a pony were to take me as their slave, they'd be finding not-so-innocent surprises laying around the house, and if Equestria has the components, a nuclear bomb in their basement. Yes, I know how to make a nuke. You'd be amazed at just what my schools website has on it.
