The first person who figures out what my new user text/blurb/what have you means gets mad props.
Bonus points if you can explain each part, not just the overall thing I'm referencing.
I'll tell you guys later if someone doesn't get it in the meantime
Also, chapter two of Fool In The Rain is in the editing stage. Yay.
Is it a metaphor? I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to be figuring out.
Ooooh. I get it.
It's Led Zeppelin.
That's... that's the name.
LZ named their first four albums LZI, LZII, LZIII, LZIV.
Before Led Zeppelin, the band was known more or less as the Yardbirds. Driving them away is changing the name.
Houses of the Holy, 1973.
Physical Graffiti, 1975.
Presence, 1976.
In Through the Out Door, 1979.
Coda, 1982.

DING DING DING
WE HAVE A WINNER
I'm surprised someone got that.
You're awesome, you know that?
...
Also, I don't know what my motivation was for this, so in the absence of a good explanation, ADHD was the cause.

I do my best. I actually know quite a bit about music. My dad's a band director, as well as being able to play many instruments. He was also in a jazz band and a rock band. My mother is a singer, even though she doesn't like to do it. I grew up around music. It's a huge part of my life, and always will be.
As soon as I internalized yard's birds, I knew something was up with LZ.

That's a surprise. I thought someone would get the Led Zeppelin thing but completely miss the reference to the Yardbirds. They're certainly not as famous. Also, your parents seem pretty cool. Neither of my parents played any music, but my dad is huge into rock music and got me listening from a young age. And I can relate to the multi-instrument thing. Right now I play Clarinet, Tenor Sax, Recorder, Guitar, and a little bit of Piano, and I can't stop trying to pick up new instruments.
1847279 Actually, my parents kinda suck. They're constantly fighting, and end up hurting those around them. My father does nothing but make fun of my family (he calls me things like 'Braceface' regularly), and thinks that what he says is law. My mother takes everything way too seriously, and doesn't understand that people are allowed to have differing opinions and things. They also both confuse 'discipline' with 'making your children feel worthless'. If there was one reason why I was in therapy, it was them.
... and I just ranted about my parents over the internet.

I like my parents a lot. I can't always say the same about most of my extended family, though. My mom's side is well off and they're all nice and stuff, but they don't really care about me when we're not visiting. My Dad's side isn't well off. Most of them went through a lot of shit in their lives: divorces, disease, poverty, and yet my two aunts on that side are the nicest people I've ever met. The uncle is self-centered, but looking at those two sides reminds me that I'm getting a lot from my parents. I get the one who cares too much about my grades who teaches me how to succeed, and I get the one who doesn't care enough to show me how to enjoy life. Good mix.
