    New Story

I posted one of the other stories I've been working on with a friend of mine. It's a story that focuses around Rainbow Dash if one, totally not huge, thing happened differently at the Pegasus Race. You know, if Fluttershy wasn't saved by butterflies and died. Minor, right? Any hooves, I enjoy writing this story and plan to give it like 4-6 more chapters. Possibly more,

The State of the Fiction Address

A bit of an update for those of you that care to read it.

Firstly, I have finished the next chapter of Silent Night. I want to do a few proofreading runs before I post it. I fear it might have been slightly rushed.

    Ho Ho Ho, Bro!

I have posted the first half of my Christmas/Hearth's Warming story. It is a direct sequel to the prologue of Dinky Who. It's like a little side story. I had it in my head since I started Dinky Who. It gets a little timey wimey from there. This story actually takes place after the events of Pinkie Who, like a few months. Time Travel gets iffy like that. Here's a diagram to explain:

    Reason for the Season*

*If you spell "Season" like I-N-A-C-T-I-V-I-T-Y

I haven't been writing a lot. For two reasons,

    1. School. College is preeeetty distracting.
    2. Just a loss of interest. I started sketching and my creativity went from writing to sketching.

Good News. I'm gonna try to write more.
Bad News. Not Chapter 1 of Dinky Who.
Good News. It's Dinky Who related.

Hi, guys. I just wanted to give you all a heads up on another project I will be working on that may take time from Pinkie Who.

Now, say I have a big ego and all, but with the praise that my story had gotten I may have become a smidge confident in my abilities. Most of my life I've followed a Cutie Mark Crusader route of trying to find what I'm good at and what I enjoy. I could give you countless examples of YouTube videos of every type that I've attempted and failed with. I've tried art and music as well with little success. Writing was my last resort at some sort of creative medium at which I may be adequate or possibly good at. Thus Pinkie Who. I am by no means comparing Pinkie Who to some great work, but it has gotten the most positive attention of anything I've tried. So my brain put it together that THIS was something I can do. Think up ideas and make stories. This leads to my point.

I volunteered to write a script for a Doctor Whooves radio drama linked here. I suppose that my writing was good enough that I was given the task. Here are my three thoughts:
1. This could be a real test of my writing abilities since these aren't my characters and it's audio based.
2. My problem with my projects is that I am left with all the work. On this project I'm only doing script writing, meaning that I can put all my power on my part and others do the same with theirs. Leaving a possibility for a beautiful thing to be made and not abandoned.
3. Also I got excited to be part of a cool project...I didn't say they'd all be good reasons. ¬_¬

With my volunteering to do this Pinkie Who will have possible slowed progress. This was a main reason I wanted to wait until Chapter 3 was posted before moving to this. IT WILL NOT STOP. I always think of details to add and paths to go with the plot. Hell, the story kept me up last night with me thinking out the whole story line. I just won't have it as a main focus.

GOOD THINGS:
1. The Episodes are typically 20+ minutes, so the length won't be that of an Olympic-Sized Swimming Pool.
2. The story I have in mind isn't extremely complex. I won't be working on it for months and months. I plan to make Pinkie Who more complex by comparison.
3. I get writing experience to bring you better stories now and in the future.
4. My episode is 9th in line. They are working on the 3rd currently. I have time to work.
5. Audio Drama. Squee! :D

Thank you for your understanding and support. It really means the world to me. If you have any questions (That AREN'T about the plot of Pinkie Who), please feel free to comment and I'll respond to the best of my abilities.

TL;DR: I'm starting a new project which will take my focus, but Pinkie Who isn't being put on hold.

Nice! I swear, I have to stop looking for ways to procrastinate. I'm already watching Wakfu and now I'm intrigued by this radio drama.
At this rate, I don't think I'll get any writing done soon :twilightsheepish:
Still, best of luck on both the fic and the drama!

1794367 On the bright side, there's only two episodes of the radio drama. :pinkiehappy:

Hmm... well this is certainly interesting. I haven't really gotten into the Doctor Whooves audio episode things, but I guess this is a good place to start at. Maybe I should give it a try? I've watched quite a few good episodes of DW to have a good understanding of it.

Please do tell me, how did you come across this particular project? And was there some sort of application or interview process?

Nopony cares about The legend of the pureblood... :fluttercry:
But I'm sure your new project will be just as awesome as my story... :fluttershysad:

If anyone's interested, here's the aforementioned audio series:

1794416 Well, since my story is in the Doctor Whooves group thing I thought it would be best to join it as well. After joining I was flooded with people posting on forums and posting stories. A forum post asking for script writers for an audio series came up and I volunteered. There was no real interview. I just asked and my current story was reviewed for my writing ability. And here I am.
