Also I want to address the OoCness of Applejack and Zecora. When I started this series I knew that there were going to be decisions I'd make that would deviate from whats established canon. There was a few things I wanted to do with Zecora and the Mane Six but at the same time I didn't want to step on anyone's toes with my adaptation of these characters.

First, I'd like to point out that yes - Applejack learning how to manipulate her magic to imitate the same effect that Nightmare Moon did with her sword is WAY out of character. I actually wanted this to be that way. I always thought that Applejack was too straight laced, even in canon, so having her do something so different, so contrast, I wanted to show that she indeed had a rebellious streak. I will admit that yeah, it seemed like a big jump, but hear me out. When she met Jack again for the first time in a while, she had heard all the rumors that were circulating about the strange stallion that seemed to hanging about Canterlot Castle. While the government officials KNEW he was a prince, the news about his rise of power really didn't get out much and everyone thought that his prince title was a joke and he was just the royal consort.

Twilight knew that Jack was a prince but Celestia in her "troll/wisdom" asked Twilight NOT to say anything about Jack's position to the rest of the Mane Six. Thusly, When rumors did get back to town, all Applejack heard was how Jack was sleeping around with the princesses. The way I spun this angle was that she did get jealous. Jack, to her, was a great guy and she did get angry about how he was supposedly was sleeping around with women at the capital. Since I established that Zecora still frequented the Apple Family Farm from time to time, they would have talked and probably devised several plans to prank Jack for being well...you know.

Zecora knew Jack the best and knew that Jack couldn't take large doses of any Emotion. So what did they plan to do? Dump a lot of lust onto him and see what happened. Applejack got to him first.

I hope that clears up that little issue. I plan on rewriting these chapters for full detail.
