Greetings and link to prologue for new readers

Hello to whoever happens to be reading this, and thanks for taking an interest in the story. I'll keep this brief. This story is my first foray into fan fiction and story writing in general, so I hope not to disappoint. This story takes place between seasons 3 and 4 of the Friendship is Magic, and relies on lore from both the TV show and the comics. Out of consideration for all of you, I have taken the liberty of keeping the inherent lore of story as unobtrusive as possible, as I am sure you all have your own ideas and theories about things such as timelines, the nature of magic, etc.

If you're interested, you can find the prologue of this story in comic form on my deviantArt page (xenoneal.deviantart.com/gallery/44997109). It's not necessary to read it in order to understand the story, but it's there if you'd like to have the visuals in mind as you go.

This story is meant to match the show's tone and style, and will serve as a tentative final draft for when I finally turn it into a picture book, which I will also be posting on my gallery, time and cosmic forces willing.
