List of major OCs and a Happy New Year!

First of all, Happy New Year to all.

Second...Yeah! Just passed 2k story views! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for that. And thanks for the reviews and criticism.

And finally, as promised, here is the list of my, relatively important, OCs. In order of appearance in my stories:

Silver Shield-A fit Unicorn stallion with a white coat and lilac mane and tail. A relatively new addition to the Royal Guard, Silver Shield is the quintessential eager young cadet. Eager to help and not quite used to the unusual events that plague Equestria these days, Silver Shield often ends up in over his head, after rushing to someone's aid. Gets restless and uncomfortable rather easily. His Cutie Mark, is a silver shield, and his special talent is protecting others.

Stalwart Gaze-A burly Earth pony stallion with a copper-colored coat and a mane and tail. Stalwart Gaze, a long term veteran of the Royal Guard, is well-known for his stoicism in the face of the bizarre and dangerous. He's not particularly ambitious and generally prefers to take a calm, even approach to most of what life throws at him. He has a wife and colt of his own, who both live in Caterlot, and has also taken on the role of mentor to the younger Silver Shield; keeping an eye on the younger guard is his main reason for volunteering for Junior Guard Cadet Summer camp. His Cutie Mark is a half-lidded eye, representing his talent for watching his surroundings. Naturally, he rather enjoys pony-watching and scenic views.

Delicacy- A Unicorn filly with a pale blue coat and a pastel yellow mane and tail. A quiet filly from Canterlot, Delicacy is an exceptionally polite and well-mannered young pony, to the point that she has trouble dealing with messiness, impropriety, or just being direct with others. It's not that she has a phobia for dirtiness or that's she shy, but more that she finds it a bit shameful to act in an “unbecoming” manner. That being said, she is fairly self-aware for her age and realizes that she can't really go through life just doing what she's comfortable with. At the encouragement of her Aunt, she decided to attend the camp to address this. But while she's aware of this tendency of her's towards propriety, she's rather unaware of another more serious issue; Delicacy has a tendency towards being a bit manipulative. Her Cutie Mark is a stylized feather with concentric circles rippling out around it, again signifying her figurative and literal light-touch.

Lancer- A Pegasus mare with a white coat and an indigo mane and tail. Lancer is a fairly serious mare with a reputation for being kind of intimidating. While she doesn't tolerate shenanigans and is not afraid to raise her voice, it's largely unintentional on her part, and more a result of taking her responsibilities seriously. Lancer lives along the border between Equestria and the Griffon Kingdoms, serving as the head of one of patrols that keeps an eye along the borders. While she is a bit scary, she genuinely does like working with foals, and wants to help them, and has volunteered for the camp a number of years now. This most recent year, is her first year as Camp Director, and it seems to be stressing her out immensely. Her Cutie Mark is a spear with two small wings coming off it's side, signifying her talent for fighting, specifically with polearms. She nearly always can be seen wearing a worn down gray scarf.

Sea Breeze- A young Bat-pony mare with a sea green coat and cerulean mane and tail. Sea Breeze, is an easy going and friendly former Pegasus mare, who is always ready to try out new things. She tends to throw herself into whatever her latest endeavor happens to be, while at the same time still managing to come off as a bit irreverent and laid back. This is pretty easily seen by her current career as a member of Luna's Night Guard. Originally, she served as a lifeguard for her coastal hometown before deciding that she wanted to see more of Equestria and to help more ponies. Upon finding out the relatively small number of volunteers for the Lunar Guard, she immediately decided that was where she wanted to be. She even volunteered to undergo a ritual to be transformed into a bat-pony on finding out how few natural bat-ponies there were in modern times. When she isn't trying to live life to it's fullest, she generally aims to be the Cool Big Sister-type. Her Cutie Mark is a stylized wave symbolizing her fondness for all things water-related.

Rockette- A middle-aged Pegasus mare, Rockette has a light-gray coat and deep red mane and tail. Rockette is a former Wonderbolt, and a regular volunteer for the summer camp, usually overseeing the flight training. While she very much enjoyed being a Wonderbolt, she felt like it was causing too much distance between herself and her daughter, leading to her retirement. Apart from giving flight lessons she still makes the occasional celebrity appearance to supplement her husband's income. She still feels a bit distant from her daughter, who now lives in Canterlot, and so tends to overcompensate a bit with others, trying to take the role of Team-Mom. For example, tending to look after her new junior officer, Sea Breeze, and encouraging her to settle down a bit. Rockette's Cutie Mark is a rocket (More of a firework, than a spaceship) launching off, signifying her talent for high-speed flight.

Arcana- An older Unicorn mare, Arcana has a jade coat, with a white mane and tail, with faded yellow streaks. Arcana serves as a senior professor at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns and as the Expert Consultant on Magical Affairs for the Royal Guard. A somewhat aloof and formal mare, she tends towards frankness and likes to focus on the work at hand, rather than chatting or 'hanging out'. She also has a slight tendency towards perfectionism. That being said, she does enjoy exchanging snark with those she knows well. Arcana slightly resents the recent developments in Equestria, thinking that when ponies look back all they will remember is Luna and Discord's return or Princess Twilight's ascent, overlooking the works of other gifted ponies. She realizes this is unfair and doesn't really speak up about it much. Her Cutie Mark is a magical staff with lighting radiating out from the top, signifying her talent for magic, specifically electricity-based magic.

Brick Brawn- A Earth pony Mare with a red coat, and a dark mane and tail. A member of the Royal Guard and a regular volunteer for the Summer camp, and while he enjoys working with foals he also believes his volunteer service looks good when being considered for promotion. For that reason he somewhat resents being passed over for Senior Officer, in favor of Stalwart Gaze, believing that he would not only be a better fit for the position but that he is also more deserving. Despite his desire to go up in the world, he tends to get stuck in patterns and isn't very adaptable or used to the unexpected. His Cutie Mark is a brick wall, signifying his resilience and ability to hold his ground.

And really, this helps me more than anything; being able to get my ideas out of my head lets me focus on other things. Anyway, now that the holidays are mostly wrapped up, I'll be getting back to writing. Probably going to begin writing the next chapter of 'Diamond Tiara goes to Boot Camp' or a one-shot this Monday.
