Chapter 5

Youch, almost two weeks. I really hate finals, thank Celestia they're over!

Thankfully I haven't been ignoring the story, though all the work and stress of moving did delay me a bit. Sorry about that everypony! D: Good news, Chapter 5 is almost ready for release, and now it just needs a bit of editing and review before I publish. Maybe one more scene, too. It's currently hovering a bit shorter than the other chapters (aside from the prologue), and I'd like to shore that up first.

I'm going to need to start looking for a seasonal job soon, but now that I'm back home and free of the dredgery of classwork, I should be able to focus on the story again. Yayifications! Thanks for being patient with me, guys!

Excellent news! Hope you did well on the finals. Nothing like the relief of knowing it's behind you. I'm hoping to feel the same once this damnable thesis of mine is finally done.

I did add that last scene, as I mentioned above, so that brings the length in line with the more current chapters. My editor is in the midst of his Odinsleep from finals too, so I'll probably just publish with only self-editing for now and fix any errors later with his help. I'm still not sure what time of day gives the best exposure to story updates though.
