Confidence Issues/ New theoretical story idea

Don't take this wrong anyone but I have confidence issues normally and I do feel with every chapter I could make it so much better but as it is....yea I feel kinda thrown off that I have actually started a story, let alone have 9 chapters and 10th barely even touched since last week. I do feel kinda bad that I cannot keep the updates at a regular interval but it is just chapter 10 is a complicated child for me to try so I am half tempted to do a time jump. I seriously have no idea what to do truly at that point.

The new story idea is basically something I would do as a one shot and see if I can get any steam for. I mean I have literally played around with a concept for a Steampunk story. Few truly but only one keeps sticking.
