A Special Sneak Peak On My Future Ideas · 1:47am Dec 17th, 2013
Merry Christmas season my fellow bronies from around the world. And yes that is me, by my tree, in my robe, drinking chocolate milk while being all warm and cozy inside. Since it is the holiday season and I'm still happy that I've got 1000 followers. Now all I have to do is keep aiming higher to get more followers then Tchernobog, and then BronyWriter, and so forth until I am the undisputed greatest MLP fanfiction writer in the world and you all bow before your new lord and master. My first rule will be to eliminate every single ripoff of My Little Dashie and Cupcakes. I can imagine half the fanfics in this side would be gone in one day.
But I kid.... somewhat.
Anyway, since I'm feeling joyous this year I should announce a few things.
1. Expect a few comics from me in the future. Particularity one that has been in development for over a year, mostly cause it cost me 300 to pay for the whole thing and my artist is very busy. It's a Hurricane x Pansy comic, but they look like Dash and Shy respectively so all you fans of that paring will get a hoot out of it. There are others such as a comic with RatofDrawn again, this time for the season which is short but sweet, and another one later this month that centers around Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara (No Why am I crying fans, it's not related).
2. I am writing a Christmas/Hearths Warming Eve story that centers around our favorite video game fanatic Button Mash and Sweetie Belle. It's a really big ass long one shot, but will with enough "Awww" to make you smile. I should be able to get it done this week, but we'll see. I promise it will be before Christmas time. Of that I assure you. However, because it is a long one shot and I have a time limit, I'm forced to focus all of my power on this fanfic alone and leave the others on standby for the moment, but once this is done I'll go straight into working on my fics again specifically, Night of Redemption, Aftermath of a Fallen Star, Date at Dodge Junction, and Palace Perils. You should expect a few updates around January. Well there is Why Am I Crying that could be updated this month, which is in editing, but that's up to my editor if he finds time.
3. Since I know some people are gonna be disappointed to hear that there fanfics aren't gonna be updated for awhile, I've decided to spoil a bit on what I have planned for the future. After all, I am done with Derpyball and Foal, and some of my other fics are going to be done soon as well eventually such as Palace Perils, Enkindled Hearts, Night of Redemption, and Date to Dodge Junction being very close to completion.
These are the ones I promise you I will be doing in the future no matter what happens. (No this artwork isn't gonna be the cover, it's just to grab your attention in case I've written to many boring words XP)
1. Equestira Magical Girls: Beginnings
Yes, I know that people are divided among the fandom on this movie. Yes, I know that there is a good chance I will get bashed for this or this fic will not be popular. But you know what? I loved the movie. I loved how they did Equestria Girls. I though it was great... but wasted potential. See, I love magical girl series like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Pretty Cure, and more. And I'm not one of those guys who watches it because the girls are in fukus or go through those half naked transformation sequences (Seriously, do you know what their ages are in the shows? 10 at the youngest 14 at the oldest, creepy). I just love sentai like shows and I think they are very cool to watch. The characters are interesting, even though I'm not a girl, and I do find it cheesy, but also just plain fun to watch for a good laugh.
You have no idea how happy I was to see the scene where they sprouted horns and wings in the movie. Granted the battle was anti-climatic, but then I thought, "If Hasbro won't use the potential it has, then I will!" And thus I set out to create this idea into a fanfic.
Now some people who watch me know of this already, but if you haven't allow me to explain. It does follow the same plot idea where Twilight has to go into the human world to recover the Element of Magic, but in this fic she has to get all six elements back. Why aren't the other five going with her, trust me there is a very good reason. Let's say their... incapacitated at the moment and with very good reasons. Yes, Sunset Shimmer is a bad guy, but not THE main bad guy. She's working for somebody else. The are a lot of changes in this story from the movie, and this will, hopefully, fix all the plot points and problems people had with it.
At the moment, I'm almost done with planning all the ideas and this particular part of the whole story is just the first few days of Twilight in the Human World before it goes further then that. I am willing to answer questions on this provided it doesn't force me to spoil stuff. Otherwise, check out my previous blogs for more info.
2. Programmed
This is my first serious attempt at doing a grimdark, psycological fic. People know me in the fact that I like to write tragedy, but I've never really gone into grimdark territory before, the closet being A Mothers Duty, but that's more psychological then gore. This fic will have both. It's a major AU to the series, taking place in Episode 3 of season 2 believe it or not, were Twilight's attempts to please her mentor go beyond what anypony could have seen. Leading to multiple injured ponies, and a few deaths. This leads Celestia, and the mane cast, on a trail of a dark and sinister revelation about Twilight who is more or less a broken mare at this point. And no, Celestia isn't the bad guy in the end.
This... isn't a happy story or idea. Far from it. I'm talking Secret Life of Rarity grimdark here with a tad bit of Pages of Harmony "Holy Shit" moments. I want to do this because I do enjoy psychological stories and while I am doing one at the moment, it's not originally my idea, it's BronyWriter's. Really that fic was to help me warm up, but I think I can do better. There is not gonna be much blood spilled in this fic, but you don't need blood to have things be physically and emotionally scary. There are other ways to reveal horrible things happening to people without blood. Some of them the worst you can imagine.
If your a fan of Twilight or don't like seeing horrible things happen to good ponies, I recommend you don't read this one when it comes out. It's mostly rough stuff for now, but noting serious at the moment.
3. Motherhood (Spoilers for Foal ahead)
Let's move to something happy shall we? How about the squeal to Foal? As I mentioned at the end of the story, Foal was about Rainbow Dash coming to terms and facing the dark secret of her past and her brother's death. Motherhood is all about her journey of forgiveness and moving on from that past. How do I do this? I give Rainbow Dash and Applejack a baby they have to take care off. The dam in Ponyville breaks, causing a large amount of damage to the town with many lives lost and homes destroyed. Applejack, helping the rescue crew, comes upon a dying mother and her young colt. Her last wishes are for AJ to keep her son safe before she dies and Applejack agrees to honor this wish until child services can find the colt a proper home. Despite Rainbow's reluctance, she agrees to it and slowly learns to bond with the colt, awaking in her mother instincts.
However, Gale Storm, from Foal, is seeking revenge on Dash for her testimony that put her in prison and will target anything Dash loves just to gain her revenge.
Yeah, some people have said having Gale appear is a bad idea, but rest assured she won't be the main focus of the story. Dash, AJ, and the colt are. This originally was all going to be part of Foal, but then I decided to split the story into two, mostly to give myself breathing room to work on my other fics. And in a way the stories do have a dynamic shift across each other so that one story is all about preparing the road to forgiveness while the other is about actually walking the path.
