So, quite a while ago, I finally finished up my rewrite. I was quite pleased with my work, and happy that (and this might shock you) EqD forced me to show more. I feel that I am better for it. The only problem is that the chapter is now 400 words shorter, but it also no longer retains that feeling of it being a one-shot, which has angered me to no end for a while, and I was hoping for a chance to destroy it. Either way, I would like to at least give a reason for why it is so drastically shorter.
Originally, the entire first part and even more of the chapter was telling. Literally, all of it. The book was also a massive info dump, and it didn't please many readers and didn't please me after that, mainly because I knew that it was. So, I decided to show all of it instead (which I found to be really awesome, and I hope you all enjoy what I decided to do :) ), which drastically condensed things. I think that after this, it is rather ridiculous how much showing really does to your writing.
Besides that, I am going to be resubmitting it rather soon. I have decided to not wait until it is accepted to reupload it. I am final on this one, and if they have problems, I will go back and edit them out.
