New year's resolution? Pffffff don't make me laugh. Oh no, I am making an Old Year's Ultimatum: Finish S^4 by year's end. According to my calculations, if I start now, I have to write 756 words a day. I'm going to be perfectly honest and tell you that this is not going to happen for the next week or two. While I have lost hope of getting this animation degree, I still haven't given up on it and I will continue to give my current classes the full 100% of my dwindling power if only to say that I did my best. Let not any pony say that Laich is a quitter. No sir. But I do know when it's time to walk away, and for the sake of my health, mentally and physically, that time is now. Meanwhile, S^4 stands at 38,901 words that are hopefully very high quality due to the amount of time between them collectively. But I will have more time very soon to get this story out of my head and into words as it deserves.
Also, good news: the ball is slowly beginning to roll again for MWBD. Some new things have been written, some plans have been solidified, some egos have been stroked and some confidence has been built. I don't know when a chapter will happen but it's definitely sooner than never and that could be as soon as January. We'll see. And for anypony who noticed, I did quietly change the tags for MWBD. More on the change in a later installment, right now, I must sleep.
