Previously on Rescue the princess...

The ponies (not wanting to stay in one place for too long so as not to be attacked by Sunny and Virtuous.) continued forward only to find themselves going up an flight of stairs. Vulpus slowly recovered from her previous trama but developed a grudge against Sunny.Silver tried to light the way up but to the ponies despair the stairs were endless in both directions.Suddenly Sunny and Virtuous appeared and despite Silvers efforts the group were teleported to the arena with the changelings once more.

Virtuous admitted that he would not force others to love him and had thus not eatten anything since the wedding. This malnourishment had a negative effect on Virtuous whos body began to weaken. Sweetie moved by this offered her to feed the changeling Stallion some of her love; Suddenly Sunny was hit into Sweetie through Rarity's attack causing Virtuous to accidentally feed off of her. The voice in Sunny's head became stronger making it rthat much harder for Sunny to continue the fight.

Virtuous became gravely wounded in the middle of the fight and started to bleed out while the group assulted Sunny continuiously. Vulpus in her anger attacked Sunny repeatly as Nyx unleashed a massive comboed attack on the mare. Sunny's emotions began to surface as the battle raged and Silver tried reaching out to her. Vulpus and Rarity tried to argue with Silver but Silver pointed out that everyone deserved a chance.With the help of Silver and Sweetie Sunny and Virtuous put down there weapons in peace.

A dark cloud formed as King Sombra arrived. Angered and disappointed at Sunny he took away her horn and dark powers. Virtuous tried to attack the Lich king but to his horror and surprise the changeling warriors that surrounded him turned on him. Virtuous attempted to fight back but his wings and horn vanished, in the end both Sunny and Virtuous were reduced to earth ponies. Vinyl and Octavia joined the fray to defend the two reformed villains but something terrible happened to the two.

Sombra explained that without there dark powers to substain there youth the two would regress to there actual age. This caused the two to age rapidly. Cadance attempted to stop the process by connecting her own life force (which she started to share with Shining.) to Sunny. To the princesses' despair the act backfired and she and Shining began to age rapidly as well. In the end Sunny,Virtuous,Cadance and Shining aged so quickly that they were reduuced to dusts; leaving Charming an orphan. Sweetie regressed in age until she was a filly again because the spell Virtuous had cast had been broken by his death.

A somber mood filled the air as the remaining ponies grudgingly continued onward with only only Sunny's final words as a form of comfort (if sombra was defeated the mare would be able to return.). The ponies then found themselves in a grand hall that ended with a set of double doors that lead to the main castle.Sweetie and Rarity had a talk and the two had a few mini adventures(one of which involved playing red light,green light with a room of changelings.) but were told by a voi=ce on the winds not to enter the main castle until she had finished setting up her 'games'.

Queen Chrysalis stood tall above a balcony overlooking her army of changelings. Three cloaked figure stood at the front of the pack. The brown and gold cloaked figure known as Earthshock, The sky blue cloaked figure known as Wind Song and A red and orange cloaked figure the stood in the center of the other two.
