Rescue the princess chapter 9 part 7 · 7:19pm Dec 1st, 2013
Previously on Rescue the princess...
While eatting breckfest the ponies heard a knock at the door. When they opened it they found a little filly who said that she was lost and was looking for her mother. Before any could help her; the filly took off. Rarity and the other chased after the filly after hearing her screaming in pain. When the group finally caught up to the filly they looked on in horror as the filly was dragged off by Sunny.
Pursuing the evil mare the party found themselves in another tight spot as they were surrounded by the changeling army and Sunny and Virtuous.The ponies fought hard defeat several changeling warriors but sadly Shining was slain by a massive combo of the changelings and Virtuous. Cadance managed to find her olds rapier after slaying a changeling warrior (who Cadance reconigized as one of the changeling to attack Canterlot during the seize of Princess Celestia.). Nyx seeing that Vulpus had no weapon gave her one of her older ones as well as Cadance.
Sunny and Virtuous suddenly changed tactics and sucked the group into a dark shadowy world of nightmares. After wondering a bit the ponies were approached by four very familar ponies. Sunny revealed that she had been following the group from the beginning and had managed to kll three of her targets it was then that Twilight Sparkle,Applejack,Rainbow Dash and Princess Celestia appeared.
Cadance attacked Celestia not believe her to be the real Celestia but was quickly countered by the dark Twilight. The ponies attacked the dark ponies (who hit like trucks.) but it didn't seem like they were getting anywhere; that was however until Sunny appeared. Seeing Sunny's horn glowing Rarity immediatly saw a point of attack telling the others to attack Sunny's horn. The ponnies struck hard even freeing Applejack in the process.Cadance and Silver got into an arguement when Silver became unwilling to hurt Sunny; but became horrorified when Cadance told him that she would never forgive him if Celestia was killed.
The dark Celestia revealed herself to be Virtuous in disguise and immediatly went to Sweetie (completely ignoring Sunny's pain as Silver eventually grabs her horn.). The ponies contined their attack on Sunny's horn (which probobly should have hurt Silver in the process since he was holding the horn...
) freeing the dark controled ponies. Twilight sensing danger teleoport the ponies away(except for Pinkie who had managed to escape on her own by breaking reality and with the help of presto defeated the changeling army.)
While the ponies rested Sweetie recieved messeges from Virtuous who made her a deal; marry him and her friends would live. Sweetie accepted the deal and snuck out of the room. Virtuous aged Sweetie up and with Sunny's help (who's horn had to be reattached as it was broken off by silver when he was teleported away.) the two sarted up the cermony. Sweetie discover both that Virtuous was lying and Vulpus' will o wisp which had followed her. Virtuous became angered when Sweetie told him she would not marry him and threathend to kill Vulpus. Sweetie explained that if she did marry him there would be nop love between the two and that he would have to alter her emotions. moved by this Virtuous decided not to marry Sweetie and teleported her away .(leaving Sunny and Vulpus alone.)
Sunny followed the wisp to Vulpus and slowly broke her down by calling Rarity a bad mother and Vulpus a murderer. Rarity was in shock when she found Sweetie (who was now five years older then Rarity.) but the reunion was cut short when Sweetie revealed that Vulpus was missing. Taking a hair from Vulpus; Sunny used her dark magic to show Vulpus horrible images of Rarity being killed over and over. Rarity and sweetie arrived at the alter but too late as Vulpus saw her worst fear(herself killing and eatting Rarity and Sweetie belle.) causing her to snap mentally and go into a coma.
Rarity and Sweetie recovered Vulpus but despite their best efforts the two made very little headway in reviving the kitsune girl; but thanks to Silver; the ponies managed to free Vulpus from the prison of her mind(although the mental damage caused alot of damage to Vulpus' mind and body.)

Rarity started to ascend the stairs taking one last glance at the door hoping it wouldn't open from the other side. But something felt off like...why didn't Sunny and Virtuous attack them while they were sleeping? They knew where the group was at the time. After all, the heroes were packed in a small room. As she ascended the stairs with her family and friends, something felt...off...like...those stairs...
...never ended leading only to melancholy darkness at the top...
