A Revelation about 'Princess Twilight Sparkle' and the Hasbroverse: Spoilers within · 4:09pm Nov 25th, 2013
WARNING! SPOILERS BELOW!
Okay, I noted in the previous blog post that the Hasbroverse would probably not use any of the bits from the season four premiere. In some respects, that's still true. Celestia and Luna still did not get the Elements from the Tree of Harmony in the Hasbroverse. IUnstead, it's the Rainbow of Light reforged with help from the Dragon Clans. Discord's still not getting released. And the Everfree Forest is the former site of Paradise City, which grew around Paradise Estate.
But...
Where did the Rainbow of Light itself come from? For those of you not familiar enough with G1, no. It does not have any real origin. The Moochik gave it to Megan, but never said where he got it from.
No promises, mind. Anything with the Tree of Harmony is still a long way off. But as a wise Vulcan once said, there are always possibilities...
That's the good thing about the new episodes, they will bring up fresh material for fics.
I still haven't seen the episodes yet but I am already getting ideas as to how to incorporate the Tree into it. I may have made the Elements being gifts from Concordia but I never figured out how the she gave the Elements to the Sisters.
Ideas, ideas...
Just as long as Twilight doesn't randomly ascend into an alicorn in the middle of your stories for the sole arbitrary purpose of keeping up with canon... I'm fine
Hmmm. I could see it redone as the Moochick plucking the Rainbow of Light from the "heart" of the Tree of Harmony. Instead of a star, it has a heart at its center. Perhaps the tree is somehow connected with the Heart of Ponyland.
Very minor nitpick: What the Moochick gives Megan is a small piece of the Rainbow of Light. Remember what it looked like before it ate the Rainbow of Darkness?
Your right G1 pretty much began with the Rainbow of Light in the Moochick's locket and the Rainbow of Darkness in Tirac's sack. Both's origins are otherwise unknown.
