My thoughts on Season 4 premier.

I was disappointed with this episode. Really the only parts I that got me excited was when I saw Luna in the theme, and when I saw Nightmare Moon. Other than that, it was a huge disappointment. I actually liked the season 3 premier better.

The story was not that good.

It seemed that the Tree of Harmony was shoed in at the last minute.

The ending was anti climatic

I also knew Discord had something to do with it when I saw the flash back.

So to me, it was not that good, I hope the rest of the season will be better.

The reveal of the plants and clouds was cool. Otherwise its just fan pandering and macguffin. Shitty writing, good animation. But even that could have been better, the vine stretching and twisting was pretty ugly. Can't blame them wit the amount of wines they had to animate tho.
Overall worst season opening yet.
Well I am glad I had low expectations beforehand, the writers have ran out of stuff for a wile now.
