The story that will never come.

Back in 2015, I began to write a First Person Chrysalis story where she gives birth to a Changeling filly, but her drones died giving her and the foal their last bit of love, so she would journey across Equestria to give her foal to Fluttershy, to make sure the changelings survive. It was called "With This Last Breath, I Give To You" and it was going to be an Adventure/Tragedy one-shot.

But unfortunately, it came at a bad time, I became disinterested with the show, was busy writing none pony stuff. But when I got back in, I was ready to continue, but by the time I did, Season 7 was halfway done, and I found out that Chrysalis was not what I thought of her. So, I gave up, realising that if I continue, I would always be telling myself that Chrysalis does not act this way, and that she would never do this. Yet I do not want to delete it, as I hope that one day, I can sit down and write it. But for those who are wondering what it was like, here is all that I wrote, hope you enjoy.

I grunted in pain as I give birth to a new changeling, my drones surrounded me, worried that the birth will kill me.  I fear the same, for we are starving, ever since my plan to capture Canterlot failed, we have been in the badland, searching for love.

But where could one find love in a wasteland like this?  How can you gain love from a scorpion or a snake?  You can’t, that is why we are dieing.  My once proud race went from over a thousand, to me and the ten drones around me.

I grunted again, feeling my child push through me, and I try to aid it.  With one final scream, the pain disappears, the drones chitter in happiness as they see that I am still alive.  I look over my back to see the changeling baby.  It was a filly.

I stare at her, in hopes that she would move, and after what seemed like hours, I saw her get up, on her stubby legs and do her best to walk to me.  I smile at the sight, a single tear left my eye as she went to my side and nuzzled me.  She was hungry.

“Please, one of you give her the love she needs if she is to survive,” I pleaded, not order.  I lost the right to order them when I failed, but they still follow me, no matter what.

I saw one of the changing drones walk up to my daughter, a green glow around his horn, and transferred his love to her.  She stopped nuzzleing and laid down beside me.  She fell asleep as I put my insect wing around her, she was the most beautiful thing I have ever saw.

I hear a thud and saw that the drone that gave her the love had died.  I was saddened that he, out of all the drones, and by far the weakest of them, gave what love he had left to my daughter.

I stare at the nine drones, their expression did not change despite the fact that there brother had died.  I gave them a serious look, to hide the sadness that was building up in me.

“My subjects, as you can tell, we are dieing.  For so long I feared that we would be wiped off the face of Equestria, but we have hope,” I turn to my sleeping daughter, my lips start to quiver and tears come from my eyes, but I have to stay strong, “since I have given birth to a daughter, she can continue the Changeling race, but I am afraid that I must leave,”

I hear the drones chitter in confusion, but I continued on, “I am going to Ponyville, where I will leave my daughter to a Pegasus known as Fluttershy, but to do this, I must ask you to give me your love, so I can complete the journey,” I look up to my drones, and see their horns glow, the green energy flow into me, I feel my strength coming back, but this would come with a cost.  For the moment they stopped they fell down dead.  I look at them all, tears now streaming my face, at the sacrifice they made to help me with my mission.

I stand up, wobbling a bit from my legs being weak; using my magic I grab my daughter and put her on my back.  I now begin my trek to Ponyville.
