What I Enjoy Writing About - And Stuff You'll Never See From Me

Those that know me know that I'm an erotic fiction author. I've been active in the furry community (I'm DarkRyu at SoFurry) for some time. But My Little Pony caught my interest and ever since then I've been writing MLP erotic fiction when I can find the time. I'd like to talk about what I write including things I enjoy, things that I'll tolerate under certain circumstances, and things that I absolutely will not write about.

Unlike most men my age, I enjoy stories with more than just sex. Romance is a big part of any story. Sure, just like any guy there are times when I want to get down and dirty with a pure 'ol clopfic. But the fics that really turn me on have romance and a buildup to the sex. You'll see both types of stories from me.

I especially like stories that involve two characters where romance wouldn't typically form. Such as two enemies, incest, inter-species, etc. Why? Because if two beings can cross those boundaries, it shows that they really love and care about each other.

I have no real kinks to speak of. So you won't see a story with bondage, scat, or any other weird stuff. Just normal, everyday sex. I'm sorry if you think that's boring or whatever. But my stories focus on on the story more than the sex. I like my stories to be unique. The entire storyline doesn't have to be 100% unique, but it has to have some unique aspects to it. That's what helps to change things up and still make it hot, even if it is just regular sex between two characters.

Now there are some exceptions to every rule. Light bondange, for example, might be used in one of my stories someday. But it won't be bondage for the sake of bondage. It will have an actual reason for being there that helps make the story unique, interesting, and arousing. Don't be afraid to ask me to write a story just because it involves something other than normal everyday sex. Because if the story is unique and the kinky thing that's in there can be used to directly influence the story, then I might agree to write it.

I generally dislike everything except for normal everyday sex unless it's needed to keep the story unique. I don't know how else to put that. I'll highlight my thoughts on multiple topics below:

Rape: I don't like writing about rape. But like I said, there's an exception to every rule. You might see a rape fic or two from me, but it will be unique in some way that requires the rape. Rape is never a good thing in real life. In fiction it can be acceptable, but there have to be very strict criteria for it to be more than just a simple (he jumped her, held her down, and came inside of her) fic. I hate writing predictable, boring stories where you don't even need to read them to play the whole thing out in your head.

Impregnation: I'm fine with impregnation so long as it serves a purpose in the story. I don't really see the appeal of it though. If the stallion is going to cum inside, do I really need to explain how the mare is getting impregnated? You can always just assume she's pregnant in the end if that's your thing. There are instances where I'll write explicit impregnation fics, but since it's not really my thing you won't see these from me very often.

M/M, F/F: I don't enjoy gay/lesbian fics. It just does nothing for me. Now there's always the super duper hot one that might get me going a bit. But I generally stick away from writing stories like this unless I really like the premise of the story.

Gore: I really have no appetite for gore. Especially if it's during sex. There are some people that have requested stories that involved brutalizing a mare, and I just won't write something like that. I don't care what the details are or how good the story could be. Sorry but that's my stance on it.

Violence: Violence has it's place, but certainly not during sex. If there's violence in my stories, it will be on par with the "violence" (if you can call it that) from the show itself. So no evil overlords slaughtering ponies or anything please!

I should mention that I don't write as often as I should. I run several businesses and don't have much free time on my hands. And when I do have free time, I tend to spend it sleeping. LOL. Sometimes I'll get in this "mode" that allows me to write incredible amounts in a very short period of time. The last time this happened to me I wrote a 100,000+ word story in a matter of days. But it doesn't happen very often (usually once a year or so) so don't expect such things from me to happen often.

I'm not the best writer in the world, but people tend to like what I write. Like any author, I strive to improve my literary skill with each story I write. This is why I like writing new and unique stories.

I have a large number of unfinished abandoned fics stored on my hard drive (many of them MLP related). I might publish these some day, but it's kind of embarrassing. I try to only publish something that I'm proud of. Some of the stories are short; almost like authors notes. Others are long and complicated and were abandoned when I lost interest. I might make a new "story" and publish each of these in a new chapter. But that's a project for another time.
