I'm F*cked - Going to Try and Write for Incest Contest · 10:48pm Apr 26th, 2019
I can't believe that I'm barely going to be able to enter the contest that I myself am sponsoring, but here goes. Sweet Celestia this has been one hell of a month for me! Due to a great number of personal issues (health issues, business issues, financial issues, etc.) all hitting me at once, I've been unable to write even a single story for the contest.
Oh, but don't worry. I might be having financial issues right now, but I'm still more than able to cover the cost of sponsoring the contest. Nobody really knows this about me on here because I don't want to come off as a showoff, but I'm quite wealthy. Not wealthy enough to buy the rights to MLP from Hasbro (not yet anyway), but wealthy. Still, even at my level losing $60,000 isn't nothing (made some bad investments - it happens every once in a while). I had to move my money elsewhere or risk losing the entire $250,000 so that's one of the many things that I've been working on.
I'm also bi-polar and once a year or so I get hit pretty hard with severe depression. Unfortunately that happened this month.
I've had to change the entire marketing strategy for one of my businesses due to a policy change with Google and the type of advertisements they allow. This business went from making $100,000/month down to $40,000/month overnight. Almost had to lay off a couple of employees, which is the last thing I want to do. My employees are loyal to me and they depend on me to provide them a good living. My responsibilities to my employees come before an incest contest, sorry.
This month my refrigerator, washer, AC unit, one of my vehicles, 4 of my computers, one of my ipads, 2 of my smartphones, my main AND my secondary vacuum cleaner (one is for light cleaning and the other is for deep cleaning), and my sump pump all went down. It's like everything my personal life decided to wait until April to fall apart. The whole time I'm thinking to myself "WTF?"
It's just like they say - when it rains, it pours. Freaking figures it had to happen in April. I'm going to try to write from now (6:00pm where I am) until 2:00am. I feel like this is the first time this whole month that I've had time to stop and breathe. I'd better write like a madman before something else goes wrong...
Ouch, that's a lot of things that went wrong. I hope May goes better for you.
You could always extend the contest deadline a bit. A lot of contests do that.
I would offer to help in the contest, but as a contestant I could not offer an unbiased view. Sorry about the misfortune you are going through, some people may consider it small potatoes but something like that can truly disrupt a routine. Humans are creatures of habit and routine and disturbing that throws off one's life. Try and fix your problems, then bend the rules of your contest to allow yourself and anyone else to enter it somewhat late.
This is merely a suggestion. I hope you come to an equilibrium soon.
So sad to hear that all that's happening. Don't worry about the contest, you should prioritize not letting someone on the street without a job than this. I'm sure we all want to encourage more incest smut writing, but that can wait, personal and financial life can't.
On the other hand, was there some kind of EMP on your area!? How do so many electronic devices break in the same month?? You should focus on that more than anything, I'm sure you need your vehicles or cellphone to work and all the other ones for, you know, living. Being alive and being able to make money should take priority over giving that money away!

I'm glad to hear you didn't lay anyone off. Too many bosses are fine to just pass their misfortune on. For you to handle your issues yourself instead is really impressive to hear. I hope things get better. I find they normally do when you do the right thing. Keep it up. And as said above, if you need to postpone the contest for a few days or even a month, don't be afraid to. It is a simple solution with little downside. If you need to do it.
