My basic opinion of 'Triple Threat' is that it was a pretty good Ember episode shoved inside of a crummy Spike episode.
Hi, folks. I don't exactly blog a lot on here, but there's a pony artist who hit a rough spot and needs help!
I spent the entire episode unable to stop seeing the angry frogs that make up Cranky and Matilda's muzzles. Seriously, just look at the lighter-colored bit at the nose and it's an angry frog.

She's a figment of Lero's imagination, his vision of her as a crazed Daring Do fan. Just because he knows full well she can write by levitating a pen with magic doesn't mean he didn't picture her writing it directly with her horn. Putting a little more of herself into it, maybe.

I know, I know. It's just that... when she was ill and can't do anything with her magic, ill Cadence told her how to do things. And that she can teach her no-magic ways to do things, because before ascension she was pegasus. So maybe this is not "crazy fan lost her royal brain", maybe it's "big fan practicing useful thing, just in case".

I think she would still learn mouth-writing like all the others. Twilight was a unicorn, but in Equestria Girls when she didn't have a horn, she defaulted to trying to write with her mouth at first, so presumably that's the regular system ponies learn. It'd also be slightly easier than horn-writing, since with the horn she has to move her entire head very precisely and can't really see what she's doing, whereas with mouth-writing she only has to wiggle her jaw and can see the page (depending on the angle of the pen).

But with horn there's much more fun! And more options is better than only one. She may learn mouth way AND horn way, just in case! What if she lose magic AND her jaw will be broken or paralyzed? Who knows what will be next magical disease, if it appears.
