June 20th, 2015 It's My Birthday, But I Feel Tired Edition

So today is my birthday. Nothing spectacular happened. Next year is my 21st, so that's (probably) going to be a blast.

    Um... I Have An Excuse...

    No, actually I don't.

Life's been... Well, not hard. There are plenty of worse things that could be happening. But while I'm not tired by the end of the day, and my muscles aren't burning or anything, my time is what's being used. No details, but I've only been able to type out a few words here and there at lunch break or whenever there's a spare moment.

    Gaddammit.

I'm not dead. Far from it. I have been busy though. I've been helping a friend with a project. Basically, he approached me for ideas, and I responded. Apparently I was the main source of ideas his project, though his experience as a professional editor really made the entire thing. A few months later, he's doing well for himself after his project got the green light. He payed me, so I guess

In the modern world, great leaders resolve their conflicts with words... Words like-

I'M DONE WITH THE NEW CHAPTER. FROM THE GENERAL WILL GET A NEW CHAPTER.

I'll push it out tomorrow, or in a few months.

Once that's done, and over, I'll probably restart work on Charon's Cello, just to finish it. I absolutely love it, and I think it will be fun.

    Fun With Timezones

New Years is the time when everyone updates with a blog at a set point in time. With a little work, it is easy to figure out what timezones you are in, read earlier blogs to find out the weather in their area at a certain time, and go into the Weather Channel's archives for that region to further pinpoint their location. Next is their personal information. Find their line of work, or what kind of

Idea Dump · 5:26am Oct 31st, 2013

Just to give you guys a small list of the many ideas I come up with, or stories I have written but are not complete. Some of the stories I have listed before, but I'm going to list them again just because.

First off, the stories that I have written more than 1K words for, but are incomplete.

The Cornucopia

In ancient times, winter was the most harsh on the griffons, who depended on whatever dried or smoked meats they managed to store and the small amount of prey they could hunt in the deep snow. So on the coldest day of the windiest month, there is a Great Feast to feed the unfortunate, with the food brought by those with fortune and skill. The six days leading up to the feast are spent hunting, and the griffons who can find prey are celebrated.

Those days are over, but the tradition still continues.

Written for the World-Building Alliance - June Writing Prompt

Yep. This is from months ago, and was actually written for the World-Building Alliance's June Prompt.

It's unfinished, but there's plenty of good stuff in there. Maybe I'll work on it when I have time.

The Chariot of the Empire

The UGS Oblivion is a Juggernaut-Class warship, one of the biggest ever produced. It can sit behind a sun and still dominate the sky. Its weakest armament can crack a planet and cook it into an omelet. The bay doors are twelve kilometers high, fifty kilometers long, one thick. Behind them, an entire autonomous fleet waits for a chance at glory.

So when a ship that size settles behind your sun, what would you do?

Panic? Prepare for invasion? Greet the diplomats? Sacrifice some virgins?

The answer, is none of the above. You see, Twilight Sparkle disappeared two thousand years ago. We all panicked, me especially considering she was my student. We all looked, but she never came back.

But it seems that even in the unforgiving reaches of space, friendship can still bloom. Twilight should know. Somehow, somewhere, she made it work. This story is about a pony, an alien, and a power of a promise between two friends.

Written from Celestia's point of view, this is Equestria, 2000+ years later. You know those stories where Twilight disappears and befriends aliens? This is my take. Oh, she come home alright. I'm actually excited to finish this.

Charon's Cello

A trip, relaxing, was all that was planned,

Though once she awoke, she knew naught of the land,

Cold stone and darkness, and when she was lost,

To rescue her, what was the cost?

It's not a crossover with Amnesia (More Dark Decent than Machine for Pigs.) or Slenderman, but a good, healthy mix of both.

It was originally planned to be released Halloween, but unfortunately, it turned out to be too long to finish on time.

The Leviathan of the Seas

My name... well, it doesn't matter now, does it? Hell, I'm not even a human! But let's start at the beginning shall we?

Now, the world is bigger than you can imagine... Have you ever played Bioshock Infinite? If you have, then the ending is pretty much what I've been jumping from. A plea for help was the first thing I heard. Of course, being the [sarcasm]gallant white knight that I am[/sarcasm] I ran to her rescue. Little did I know, I would be gone for years, helping a civilization that has sunk under the seas.

A species many thought to have gone extinct after the Chaos War.

Friggin sea ponies.

I have no words to explain this one. It's an older story of mine, and it's based off of the Chess Game of the Gods canon, but not directly connected.

And with that, the stories that I have actually worked on are listed above. Now for the stories that are only concepts as of now.

Klendathu's Reawakening

Walker has been stationed on Klendathu for longer than he can remember. His many years of service have guaranteed him a steady and easy career in politics, should he accept the offer. But unlike, yet like many, he is the sort that prefers the sweat, sand, and bug slime than a dry-clean only suit on his shoulders and a swivel chair under his grizzled rear. The only reward he accepts for his hard work, is hard work.

The ground campaign has finally ended. But deep underground, the maze of tunnels still contain millions of bugs, and they need to be cleaned out. The good news is that there will be plenty of jobs in the Mobile Infantry for years to come. The bad news is Fleet can't help. The most they can do is bring bagged lunches and moist towelettes.

There are only three rules.
1 - Don't die. Powered armor is expensive.
2 - Kill, but before you walk away, you make sure it's dead.
3 - All complications are to be reported to the Lt.

Welcome to the Bulldogs soldier.
WALKER'S BULLDOGS!

Yes that's right. An honest-to-god Starship Troopers crossover. The book crossover. Although some elements are taken from the first movie, as the book does not deal with them.

The Salesman

A full tank of gas, a cooler filled with Coke, merchandise in the back.

It's a long way to Canterlot, it's dark, and we have our sunglasses on.

Bring it.

I came up with this after watching the Blues Brothers movie. It was supposed to be just as wacky and crazy. Plus it started out with them blowing up a Zebra village. It sounded so much better in my head.

The Best

Golden helm and shining spear. Stoic guardians of the country. They are the shield of the populace, and second to none.

They uphold the law with honor. They keep the peace with dignity.

This is their story. They are the guards.

They deal with it, so you don't have to.

This story deals with the Royal Guards, and their everyday life dealing with general BS.

Pictures of Equestria

The genius knows. The philosopher thinks. The traveler sees.

For those who sit back. For those who listen.

To observe the world, and to embrace it.

This is more of a writing exercise than an actual story. The point is to squeeze the most words out of a single picture without rambling.

And with that, I'm out of ideas. But I'm sure to have some more later.
