A quick status update · 11:31pm Oct 14th, 2013
The next update of There Goes the Neighborhood is being delayed a bit, but for mostly good reasons. The one bad reason is a technical problem that caused me to lose some of my existing (unreleased) work. Thankfully, there's plenty of good news:
-I've made some heavy revisions to the existing content to aid in readability; expanded some parts I thought needed more attention, and trimmed fat in other places.
-I've also chosen a new way of framing the 'Cautionary Tales of Magical Misuse' segments and rewritten the first one to sound more like a fable. These stories were originally intended to be a running gag, but it's grown into something much bigger (and hopefully more interesting) now, even if it is less funny.
-The last piece of good news is that I've decided to start working with an editor. At present, we're still getting to know each other and figuring out how we'll work together, but I think we're both happy with the way things are going, and I'm hopeful this partnership will push the level of quality to a new height.
Thanks for being patient, you young punks.
