It's one thing to create/throw already-established characters in a story of some kind. It's another thing to develop those characters, regardless of the situation they're in.

    Made A DA Alternative

I now has an Inkblot, but because I tagged it NSFW in setting up the account and making it visible, I don't think I can link it. However, it uses the same username as the one I run here. That being said, while I can take commissions over there too, I'm still in the protracted process of slowly moving my art from DA to there, due to the AIpocalypse.

    Request FAQ!

So I said I'd be doing this thing, and by Godcat, Faust, and the Sweet Creator I'm doing it. For starters, requests will be separate from commissions, in that I can do these when I have nothing better to do, however there will be some caveats as to what I can and cannot do. That being said, the will nots of my commission FAQ (fetish art and/or Displaced-related) and such will apply here,

    Merry Christmas! (+IRL Update)

So, last month, I'd landed another job. Far, far more chill than the previous two put together, in regards to both peopling and the alloted tasks for the day. Paid weekly, all that jazz, even if it's only two shifts per week (though I can offset this a little by taking up offered shifts for other people using a phone app, yey.) In addition, I completed a 100$ commission a few weeks ago, for a

    So... (IRL update)

If you're all wondering why I've seemingly disappeared off the face of the planet, several things happened in quick succession, starting a few months ago. In brief:

What is this madness?! · 9:20pm Sep 30th, 2013

I have been hearing A LOT of talk about this government shut down thing. I do not know what the Republicans are willing to go through to get this in effect but I hope Obama stops it.

wait what?

1386301 Like I said: whatever it is I hope Obama shuts it down. Don't look at me, I am only going by what I heard.

The Republicans were the one's trying to save the government but the Democrats shot down their only plan for getting money without printing. And they didn't agree with the plan because to make it successful obamacare would have to be gotten rid of.

Therefore, the Democrats directly forced the government into its current, partially lame state. Whereas, the Republicans would've saved the government without printing more (cash) bills, and gotten rid of an act that directly goes against the constitution.

That is all. Equestria is ours.

The government shutdown is the result of what's called "discretionary spending" not being provided for, since Congress couldn't pass a budget. Discretionary spending has to be approved with each new budget. No new budget, no discretionary spending.

So a lot of government programs that rely on discretionary funding have been shut down until Congress passes a budget or what's called a "continuing resolution," which would fund them at their usual level.

Either party could have compromised to pass a budget. The Republican-controlled House of Representatives could have proposed a budget that the Democrats would have been willing to pass. The Democrats could have sucked it up and delayed Obamacare for a year in order to prevent the shutdown.

The showdown over the budget is basically a game of chicken where each party is convinced that they still win if they crash.

Obama can't do anything about it. It's how the American system works: the legislature works against the executive and the executive works against the legislature. Through checks and balances, the branches fight and prevent each other from taking control of the country. It was designed to prevent the possibility of a tyrant uprising.

The Founders must be so proud. Hey, the system works...

Also, don't be so worried. This isn't the first time the government "shut down". It's just the first time in seventeen years. America'll survive.

On the bright side, gas prices in Canada are down because of all this:yay:

You know what's funny? We spent more time in my POLI101 tutorial discussing the States' current predicament than we did about our own government. I study in Canada by the way.

Was raised in the US though so I know way more about American politics than most Americans:rainbowlaugh:. And from what my prof says, I now know more about Canadian politics than most Canadians. Still have no idea who's our current Prime Minister though...:unsuresweetie:
