Some general stuff on my new Chrysalis/Cadance story · 9:47am Sep 27th, 2013
So if you've not seen it yet well I have a new story up!
Not the fic I was planning to write next at all really, then neither was By Royal Command now I think about it, but after I got the idea of trying to make the Cadance/Chrysi ship work it just flowed out wonderfully. Heh, I'm never going to get round to writing those two fics I put all those hints and foreshadowing for in Random Elements and the sequel 
Quick note on the Randomverse (man, still chuffed people call it that as I really didn't plan for that to be a thing) I still consider it concluded for now. However after season 4 and a whole bunch more episodes to riff off then I've been considering I might think differently it, plus there a few trailing threads that could have something done with perhaps.
For now though it's going to be all Cadance/Chrysi for awhile as this is such an open ended concept it's just wonderful. I think I can run with this past Sombra, to the Equestrian Games and maybe even beyond. Will see how it goes. Progress is going solidly so far, people seem to like it, and the next chapter is about a third done already.
I still don't think it's enough of an AU to be considered one as there's really not going to be much of a shift in the status quo, but hey I can see the argument that it's directly contradicting part of what we saw happened in the show.
Bit of a warning I am going to be doing what some might consider weird stuff with the changelings as a race. My rule is as long as it's a take supported by the show then it's fine to play with, so I will be ignoring the comics (as much I loved the hell out of that arc) and that guide book which I'm almost certainly never going to read. Most fun part of writing I've always found is the world building so I hope you'll bare with me even if it goes against more common fanon views of what they're like. I don't think it's any where near Empress Rarity levels of crazy though so hopefully you don't need to be too worried

Heh, been wondering when the next update would be. Never fond of favoriting a story until a few chapters in in case the writer decides he's no longer interested in continuing it. Loved By Royal Command and expecting to love this new story of yours as well. And I wouldn't worry too much about altering the changelings, they only had one episode so it isn't like every detail about them is cut into stone *never read the comics but I can't consider those canon as i'm sure some people do*. Good luck and looking forward to how your story goes.
